AllOfThemWitches · 25/12/2022 19:28

A couple of potatoes. Couldn't taste them. Is it a cold or is it covid, I wonder.

Hottoffeesauce · 25/12/2022 19:28

French toast with maple syrup for breakfast. Lunch was roast turkey crown, pigs in blankets, carrots, roast potatoes, red cabbage, brussel sprouts, roasted parsnips, mashed swede, bread sauce, cranberry sauce and turkey gravy. Followed by chocolate profiteroles. Then munched my way through lots of creamy Guylian. Too stuffed for supper so will eat strawberry trifle with chocolate drops. Only drank water.Xmas Smile

TheChosenTwo · 25/12/2022 19:29

So much. Too much. And I never normally overeat at Christmas! I can’t fathom how people can magically eat more than they normally can, I get full and stop eating. Today it just took much longer than usual to get full and my god I’m struggling to move now 😂 but I must, we have more people coming round in a minute! We only finished eating at about 6:30, I’m absolutely done in!

Jewelanemone · 25/12/2022 19:39

3 chocolate croissants, a full Christmas dinner, various chocolates and a load of cheese and crackers. Drank several large Screwdrivers, a glass of Limoncetta and am about to have a cup of tea.

I'm stuffed, although I will no doubt find a corner for some stollen later 🐷

Kim82 · 25/12/2022 19:43

3 cups of tea
A piece of a pastry/Nutella Christmas tree shaped thing that the kids got me to make
3/4 of a bottle of Buck’s Fizz
Packet of cheese and onion crisps
Handful of salt and vinegar twirls
Absolutely massive Christmas dinner - the plate was piled high as I was starving as we didn’t eat until 6pm.
3/4 of a bottle of Pinot Grigio (just about to pour the last glass out of the bottle)

And I’ll start on the desserts soon too - nobody has had any yet. We have Yule log, cheesecake and arctic roll to choose from. I may open a second bottle of wine after this glass…

garlickypotatoes · 25/12/2022 19:47

Breakfast: 2 bagels with cream cheese and smoked salmon. A large mug of coffee and a twirl (it's Christmas...you're allowed to have chocolate for breakfast)

No lunch but early dinner (at 4.30pm) of honey chicken, potato Dauphinoise and peas followed by crackers and cheese. All washed down with cava and maybe a few other drinks too (lost track).

Cooking a big Christmas dinner tomorrow but couldn't face doing it on two days. Currently considering having some Pringles....

GetTheGoodLookingGuy · 25/12/2022 19:49

Pancakes with chocolate sauce

Two chocolate biscuits, a quality street, a handful of pringles

Turkey, pigs (no blankets as I don’t like bacon), roast potatoes, yorkshires, carrots, broccoli, Yule log

A bread muffin, a cheese straw, handful of ritz crackers, handful of Pringles, apple, two biscuits, two tiny cakes

TheDogsMother · 25/12/2022 19:51

Just the two of us so

Smoked salmon, cream cheese and bagels for breakfast
Mulled wine then Champagne
Shell on prawns, fillet steak frites, After Eights, red wine
Tarte au Citron, crème fraiche
Gin and tonic
May create a charcuterie board later

Today's discovery - Lidl Strong and Robust Smoked Salmon beat Sainsbury's Oak Smoked totally hands down

Gufo · 25/12/2022 19:52

Brioche

After 8s, toblerone, pringles, stollen, mince pie

Turkey, sprouts, roast spuds, carrots, pigs in blankets, yorkshires, parsnips, stuffing

Christmas pudding and brandy sauce

Cheese and crackers, ham, pork pie, pickled onions, cornichons

A lot of good things, but not a lot of each item!

SiobhanSharpe · 25/12/2022 19:56

We're going on holiday tomorrow so today has been taken up with packing, tidying and minimal cooking.
breakfast -- coffee
brunch - bagels with cream cheese, smoked salmon, chopped onion and capers. More coffee.
tea/dinner/supper -- potato and vegetable hash (everything that had to be used up from the fridge, carrots, leeks, mushrooms and parsnips, potatoes, boiled, mixed together and fried till crisp) served with fried egg, bacon and black pudding.
Dessert -- grapes.
