What a sad shame. So many happy clubbing memories of Faithless back in the day.

Just heard this ☹️

RIP Maxi, your music meant an awful lot to many of us❤️

Trees6 · 24/12/2022 16:23

I loved Faithless. Saw them at Hyde Park.

Sympathies to his family, close friends, and Faithless & Crystal Palace colleagues.

Shit news, only 65!... really gutted, he was pure class!
RIP Mr Jazz ❤

FuckConvoGiveMeAForest · 24/12/2022 17:26

Thanks mate, for the best dance tune in the history of the world EVER. Rest in peace xx ❤️

DJSteves · 24/12/2022 17:26

Sad news. Faithless was one of the best gigs I've been to

Sausagenbacon · 24/12/2022 17:47

He was only 65! I don't understand. And what a loss, I loved Faithless

Mercedesbenz2022 · 24/12/2022 17:49

Rip , Maxi
65 seems way too young

OhTinyBear · 24/12/2022 17:53

💔 Been reeling for the last hour, Maxi Jazz is one of my all time music heroes. Beautiful sensitive thoughtful man. Poet. Incredible showman too. Faithless were just unbeatable live, not just what they did on the stage itself but how they got the crowd going too, everyone bringing good vibes every time.

Sister Bliss’s announcement said he went peacefully and in his sleep. If he had to go so early, I’m at least glad it was peaceful.

And I’m glad we already had a low-key Christmas planned for tomorrow here, this news has brought me down so much.

Chocolatbaileys · 24/12/2022 17:55

Insomnia was the second song at our wedding. It feels like a lot of my generation are going.

murasaki · 24/12/2022 17:55

So sad to hear this, loved Faithless.

MorrisZapp · 24/12/2022 17:58

They've just played Insomnia on the radio. For me it's a Christmas song, I don't know why. So evocative and arguably the best dance record of all time.

What a sad loss.

ArcaneWireless · 24/12/2022 17:59

Thank you for one of the most uplifting days in my life.

You brought pure joy with you.

RIP Sir 🫡

Shade17 · 24/12/2022 18:01

So pleased I got to see him live a couple of times. Such a great loss. RIP

MissWired · 24/12/2022 18:24

Too young :(

Damn it.

Gunner1510 · 24/12/2022 18:26

This is really sad. Great musician and seemed like such a lovely bloke. RIP x

evtheria · 24/12/2022 18:31

Dp came in and found me making our special eve dinner with Miss You Less See You More blaring, instead of my usual carols. I was quite young in their heyday, but watched a lot of MTV and loved their music, always thought I'd get to see them live... not to be, another poet lost.

fortheloveofcheesecake · 24/12/2022 18:59

So sad to hear this news. Loved Faithless. Don't Leave is one of my favourite songs, along with their well known classics.

LikeTearsInRain · 24/12/2022 19:06

He can get some sleep now

RIP

onemouseplace · 24/12/2022 19:11

So sad about this - as others said, Faithless live were something else - one of my most memorable sets ever.

Nowisthemonthofmaying · 24/12/2022 19:14

Can't believe this - he was so young! Saw Faithless live a few times, so good. RIP.

seperatedmum · 24/12/2022 19:19
