What are you doing tonight?

What's everyone up to?

I am at my parents' since last night, and today my youngest brother arrived from university. We're all together for the first time since the summer (all of us siblings live in different countries so not easy to meet up too often).

I had my hair cut this morning, then lunch at home with my mum and we watched a couple episodes of The Crown together. In the afternoon parents were at work, brothers out with friends. Had dinner with my dad and caught up on the local football news.

I need to work for an hour or two tonight (self-employed), and wrap up some contracts and invoices that need sending before Christmas. I'm sat on the sofa with some triple chocolate turrón (guess where we are!) and The Noel Diary on, everyone's recommending it.

Brothers are now back, I can hear them all arguing about tomorrow night's dinner plans, here's hoping nobody comes to the living room anytime soon. I miss my quiet flat already Xmas Grin

Bit of tidying as family are coming round tomorrow (just for the afternoon, thank god, lol). Then went for a facial to relax. Dinner with partner, now chilling

Watching Strike episode 1. Wrapping a couple of presents. Then early night as school doesn't finish til tomorrow. Roll on 1pm!

Just sitting in my 4 yr olds room waiting for her to drop off, don’t usually but she is very overexcited and emotional about christmas already! 2yr old already asleep. Then have to clear up and do laundry, put shopping away, unpack bag from being out all day, do meal plan to use up random online shopping substitutions. DH home late from work in London. A typical evening (even more exhausting when I am working that day) - sometimes I think I am doing life wrong 🤣 but I can’t seem to improve it! Wish I was watching a hallmark with a cuppa!

Lying on the sofa under a blanket with 3 jumpers on freezing my arse off with a temp - the fire's lit and it's 25C - I'm so cold.

Also lying on the sofa under a throw. Have put cat TV on for the cat and the birds chirping is relaxing.

I finished work yesterday (secondary school) and have a rotten cold and cough thing (day 5).

Dd is upstairs rustling around with present wrapping and ds is at work till midnight in dunelm. I have said I ll give him a lift home.

Presents upstairs need wrapping and food needs bought yet hopefully tomorrow I ll feel better.

It's probably our last Christmas in this house together as ds is getting married and moving abroad next year and dd will be able to move out and get a place with her gf now she has a much better job.

Last week our boiler broke down but it's fixed now. I really want a good Christmas so the lurgy needs to go.

I still need to buy most of my presents tomorrow - and it must be tomorrow as we exchange on the 24th - I've been so disorganised this year.

5 days!!! OMG I'm on my second day - can't do 5 days of feeling this crap. Hope you are over the worse of it!

My dog ignores me when I'm ill, I'm useless to him - I keep telling him we going to get a new dog!

How lovely sounds like a great family time.

I was working today, also listed some stuff I need to sell as having a big clear out for my new baby due early spring. Took our dog for a tramp around the park after work. Bathed DD, read some Christmas books and put her to bed. Now on the sofa waiting for DH to bring me a plate of the Thai curry he is making, I’m going to dig out one of my favourite films and unwind as this week has been a bit intense work-wise.

@Hahahahohoho my cat adores ill people. I think it's the warmth of the fever and the way they stay still.
If I go in the kitchen for a drink or lemsip she comes to try her luck at getting a treat or stick her head in the fridge

Just got home from blood donation, sat on sofa while
DP cooks bits'n'bobs! We have the football on, when I say we I mean he!!!
DD and dogs all snoozing! Just thinking when and if I should pop to shop as I have decided I NEED trifle and fresh chocolate log in.....

@AkoraEdelherb thank you. Autumn Term should be renamed The Long Long Term Of Many Illnesses. Why did I think working with kids would be great?
Year 7s are super spreaders of everything and I have been on and off ill since mid November 😪

Currently watching Netflix on the sofa and debating an evening walk as I'm feeling bored and restless! I should be at my sister's house by now for Christmas but she's quite ill, so we've agreed I'll come over in a few days when she's feeling better. I did cook a nice pad Thai earlier though and finally got around to painting my bedroom after three years! Just bored and ready to be with other people.

Relaxing with a cat on my lap. Watching a cheesy Christmas film, after spending my day baking cakes , curing salmon and brining turkey. I've listened to Christmas carols all day and feel fully in the spirit now.
