I also suffer, it’s horrible.

lipstickwoman · 22/12/2022 03:41

Does my bloody head in

AnythingConsidered · 22/12/2022 03:43

Here, here 😢

OhThatChicken · 22/12/2022 03:45

Me too.
Now of the age where it comes with a side order of 'can I just not sleep or is this the start of peri-menopause?'

JoannasFifthTry · 22/12/2022 03:45

And another hater here. Sympathies to you, my fellow sufferers.

theotherfossilsister · 22/12/2022 03:46

Sorry, this sounds rubbish.

I'm awake because of my baby. A mum friend with an older child told me it changes your brain so even when he sleeps through I won't be able to ever again

Dontsparethehorses · 22/12/2022 03:48

I’m with you all- also full of some horrible cold like bug so shaking but high temp. Staying at my parents having driven down last night so not even got any medicine I can take until the morning 😭

Allmarbleslost · 22/12/2022 03:48

Solidarity op. I'm sick of feeling exhausted every day.

youwouldthink · 22/12/2022 03:50

So sick of it. Need to be up at 5.30 to take DD two hours to uni to sit an exam. Same story every night for years now

ClaymanI · 22/12/2022 03:52

Solidarity from a fellow insomniac! Xx

stoptheasshat · 22/12/2022 03:56

Hello! Nice to know I'm not alone! Insomnia go do one! I'm lying here massively overthinking my day yesterday which is so utterly pointless!

DrSmoot · 22/12/2022 03:59

Just recommending these.

Seemingly most people are pretty deficient and deficiency causes sleeping problems. I’d normally be asleep now (after years of hideous peri menopausal insomnia) but, due to COL crisis, I changed to a cheaper brand that are absolutely useless. I’ve just re ordered these, they will be arriving tomorrow. 🙏🏻

ofCourseYouHave · 22/12/2022 04:00

Also can't sleep. I struggle most nights, but tonight I was woken by period pains ffs.

Loopyanna · 22/12/2022 04:09

Same here, can't sleep. Had a shit day yesterday as was made redundant

TotallyOP · 22/12/2022 04:13

Hi everyone. I hate it too. I'm just going round in circles about seemingly insoluble problems.

stoptheasshat · 22/12/2022 05:07

Oh Loopy, what bad luck. Sending Flowers

Polkadotpjs · 22/12/2022 05:11

Hello. Me too. Thought I'd cracked it with my HRT but going through job change and having a crisis of confidence about leaving. My notice period is 3 months and I love my colleagues just not the work so I feel torn. Just finished my book- Cat Lady by Dawn O Porter if anyone needs a good read. Sending solidarity in the meantime

OptimusPrime31 · 22/12/2022 05:27

I want to sleep like my partner 😫

closingscore · 22/12/2022 06:26

Have you tried listening to podcasts or audiobooks? I use podcasts from people with relaxing voices (I like Rob Brydon) and I find that because I'm not getting wound up about being awake, I drop off to sleep!

NoelNoNoel · 22/12/2022 08:21

I suffered terribly for about 8 years. I’ve come out the other side and find not going to bed until 11.30 helps. I am 53.
You all have my sympathy.

Passmepie · 22/12/2022 08:34

Sending more sympathy, I’m on nearly 40 years of insomnia and definitely fucking hate it as well!

mrsrobin · 22/12/2022 09:02

You all have my sympathy, I am also sick to death of it. The only time I sleep is after 2 or 3 nights of having only had about 3 hours - then I manage about 5 or 6, which to me is a luxury! It doesn't help when my husband says "are you going to bed now, it's not even nine o'clock"!! He really does not get it!

MissyB1 · 22/12/2022 09:07

Yes I’ve suffered in and off for the last 10 years, going through a really bad patch of it at the moment. The last two nights I’ve had about 4 hours sleep, but that’s not 4 hours in a row, it’s more like dozing for an hour then awake for a couple of hours, repeat. My mood just plummets and I get really anxious.
