Does anyone actually get through 2 hours of Scott Mills in the afternoon?

I find I have to switch him off! I can't believe he's got this job .

Last week I heard him forcing Sam Ryder to agree to sing at his wedding. CRINGE.

Today he's just phoned a boring woman who seemed utterly underwhelmed to hear from him and it was supposed to be a big surprise call and it all fell flat. CRINGE AGAIN.

To me he has the persona of the pub bore.

Come on Radio 2!!

What really annoys me is that he can’t pronounce the letter t at the end of words, he even refers to himself as Sco’’ Mills. Very lazy for a BBC presenter. Ryland is just as bad.

He is so childish, boring. He is in his 40's isn't he? His fart chat is just cringe. I could go on,
You all need to move to Virgin. Most of the dj's are outstanding. Jane Middlemiss is dreadful but she only has a relatively small slot. The rest have some great chat.

Weirdly I am quite enjoying him and the travel girl Ellie in the mornings at the moment, whereas he drives me nuts in the afternoon 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Gooseysgirl definitely, he seems less annoying on the breakfast show? Maybe because I listen to less of it…

Bit late to the party, but I also like Jeremy Vine. And I loved the late Steve Wright; the Non-Stop Oldies bit was something to look forward to, as you'd no clue what'd come up. But I can understand him & his alter egos being over the top for some.

Still, at least he had charisma; I really hate Mills; like everyone's been saying, he's a charisma vacuum who should never have been given this precious primetime slot. But the controller at Radio 2 is obviously a f?!king idiot; I mean, WTF would anyone have let a national treasure/institution like Ken Bruce & PopMaster go...? 😖🤬

Radio 6 Music is fine, but it caters to a more specialist/diverse music taste; most tracks/artists you've never heard of and first thing in the morning you just wanna go more mainstream.

Trouble is, though, I detest commercial radio ads with a PASSION, so not got a lot of choice at all. I listen to many web radio stations, but they're not available on DAB so can't listen to them in the car...

The BBC controller responsible for messing up the programming has much to answer for, methinks...

Funny me too. I think he was given “notes” to be more upbeat and lose the slightly mean vibe I often felt he had. Music is great too. The travel woman I’m a bit meh about. Her accent irritates me - like it’s fake or something. But Lord knows it’s an improvement on blimmin Ritchie. God love him moved to the graveyard Sunday night / mon am slot. But if there was ever someone promoted beyond their abilities….
