Snacks when it's freezing

So I usually snack on berries, greek yoghurt, or vegetables and hummus. However it's 15C at home and I really don't want anything that has been in the fridge right now.

I have had too many cups of tea (and too many biscuits).

Any ideas?

Soup, beans on toast, toasted crumpets with cheese, milky coffee. I try to have hot things with some protein to stave off the hunger for longer.

I would’ve said tea and biscuits but you don’t want those! We’ve just had oven baked mini sausage rolls.

Just4ThisThread · 12/12/2022 18:02

Yes to the cup a soup. Also, bagels and cream cheese (lots of strange and lovely flavours around now with Christmas), soda bread isn’t that difficult or time consuming to make at home and can add all kinds of flavours when making a loaf to have toasted with butter.
Supermarkets do the packs of mini scotch eggs, pork pies, empanadas, mini tacos etc.

monsteronahill · 12/12/2022 18:10

I do warm granola (five mins in the oven!) and it's fab, cups of soup, herbal teas, egg muffins with veggies, warm scotch eggs, warm mince pies, the thin protein bagels with cream cheese are delicious too!

whatapity · 12/12/2022 18:12

Cheese toastie with cheese and sriracha sauce filling!

Scotch pancakes

Onedayatatime22 · 12/12/2022 18:16

Soufflée in a mug - 2 eggs, grated cheese and a bit of shredded ham. Mix together with black pepper and microwave for 1.5-2mins. A lovely protein boost - and hot!

Stop the snacking habit?

RampantIvy · 12/12/2022 18:51

I would eat some of those suggestions for lunch rather than a snack as they are quite substantial.

I find a cup soup more warming than tea.
