Thanks for asking! Received it is Friday. Bit chilly despite the fire we have lit. Thinking of taking to my bed with my electric blanket and book.

I am really chilled and happy, just seeing the results of my home laser gadget, seeing good results on my skin from a vitamin c serum, just had a night away with DH for my birthday, just drank the posh prosecco DS bought me for said birthday and am seeing the girls for lunch tomorrow. Life just feels so good and contented just now, thanks for asking 😁

Feel like I could sleep for a month but have so much to do this weekend…

I am currently sat alternating between mumsnet and reading a book sat in front of a blazing fire just nipped upstairs to turn the electric blankets on so bed should be lovely and warm when I head up soon

I’m currently home alone so all is good. My husband is out for his office Christmas meal, our oldest has gone clothes shopping for his department Christmas meal tomorrow night and our youngest is away in London with his girlfriend.

I’m on the sofa and I’ve got a share bag on Maltesers and a glass of Baileys. And a hot water bottle.

About average day here thanks. I was just contemplating ... is it wrong that more or less my favourite 5 minutes of most days is getting into bed at night?

Feeling glad I gave finished work for the weekend. We were extremely busy, we always are in December. I work in healthcare and this week has been crazy, there seems to be a particularly nasty virus around, along with everyone worrying about Strep-b it's been chaos.

Currently watching the football with a drink.

We have a quiet weekend planned dp has a cold and there's a possibility we might wake up to snow tomorrow. It has been snowing/sleeting on and off all day and the roads were pretty slushy on the drive home this evening. Board games, films and play some Mario kart with the dc's on the switch tomorrow I think.

Some good and some bad in the mix then!

Meh. Currently going through a divorce. Moved out in September and living with a wonderful friend and generally happy but I learnt last week he has already found someone else AND moved her in. He has 4 kids who I miss terribly and been in their life for 8 years so the thought of a new stepmum in their life hurts a lot. Its just so soon, right?? I've been debating emailing him and asking if she was on the scene before we separated because it's just so quick but I don't think I'll like whatever answer he gives.

In bed with a book and my cat waiting for housemate to return. Feeling quite low.

I’m ok. I was quick sad/overwhelmed earlier but my son came in and put on Christmas music and he’s just lovely (I don’t think he knows that I was sad).

I’m a bit shit to be honest. laying in the dark in my bed with my 8 year old asleep next to me. She’s been ill all day, temp of 39, medicine brining it down thankfully. She’s just drifted off. Dh is downstairs with our toddler, thankfully she is full of beans as usual.

It’s going to be a long night, I can never sleep when they are sick.

Thankful that we can afford to heat the house to a decent temperature. DH has been researching ways to donate the winter fuel allowance. It should be means tested.

I have been baking, repotting a couple of houseplants and chatting to a good friend on the phone who had lovely news to share.

An early night, visitors tomorrow.

I’m doing good. Have a tickly cough that won’t go, car finally gave up this evening, and the boiler is playing up.
A child at a local school same yr as my dd died yesterday of strep so feeling very grateful that all my problems are so trivial.

Absolutely fucking raging. Have spent the last 90 minutes getting my 9 month old to sleep
only for the stupid bloody door to creak as I left the room, twice! Could scream.

Lonely and alone. I miss DH very, very much, I thought widowhood would get easier at some point but...

Still, I have pretty much nailed the Christmas shopping and am now trying to figure out how to do the food shopping for Christmas as I am now fostering a toddler with complex needs, a regular trolley is out of the question as it's not supportive enough and I can't get an online slot now. I guess fish fingers are an acceptable substitute for turkey? I have fish fingers in the freezer.
