I’ve taken today off work, getting on with wrapping some Christmas presents and then the tree will go up tomorrow.

Likely to have a pretty chilled weekend all in all!

I live abroad and I'm coming back to the UK for a month tomorrow! Very excited. Going to buy ingredients for a proper Sunday roast dinner for Sunday and just take it easy, though I'm hearing the weather has turned really cold ❄

Better start packing...!

Helpmesortit · 09/12/2022 10:27

Out tonight
Saturday-santa and ice skating/local Christmas fair/festival
Sunday- chill out and dd has a birthday party to go to.

MinnieMountain · 09/12/2022 10:47

DS and I are putting the Christmas decorations up after school today.

We’re going to the Christmas fair at our local country park tomorrow, then DH is going to MIL’s to watch the football.

Sunday is swimming, then MIL round for a Lidl venison roast.

3 night shifts, starting tonight

WinterLobelia · 09/12/2022 10:49

I think we have a nice weekend ahead. DH is out with his friends doing his Very Outing Hobby which means he will be gone 10-ish hours both days. When he does this I usually take my DCs out for lunch one day and possibly the cinema one day.

aaaahhhhh.... hope it goes smoothly and well.

peaceandove · 09/12/2022 10:53

Out with friends for dinner tonight at our favourite gastro pub, it has real fires and is so cosy at Christmas.

Tomorrow I'm having my hair cut & coloured ready for Christmas, then helping my lovely Aunty to trim up for Christmas in her new apartment. DD2 & her boyfriend are coming to help too, so very excited to see them.

Sunday is a lazy day. Lunch out with DH. Jigsaw and needlepoint in the afternoon. A Christmas film + snacks in the evening.

ShesThunderstorms · 09/12/2022 10:57

Tonight I'm going to get started on wrapping I think.
We've got a christmas themed messy play tomorrow morning for our two toddlers. Then I'm taking the older one into town to the cinema for the first time whilst the younger one stays at home with DH. Might pop in to see my mum on the way home from that. Then I'm out for dinner and Christmas drinks with my two best friends. Wearing a sequin skirt that I'm very excited about!!
Sunday we have no plans so far but I'm sure something will pop up. Could do with a chill day tbh as we've got Santa visit on Monday and DDs birthday end of next week so I've got birthday cake baking going on next week!

Quizzed · 09/12/2022 11:14

I shall be working all weekend. Enjoy your weekend op.

warofthemonstertrucks · 09/12/2022 11:16

I will likely be In bed with the bloody flu as I have been all week, Instead of in York having a lovely time with Dh for my birthday which is tomorrow. I'm so fed up :(

TeapotCollection · 09/12/2022 11:18

Football and beer, probably with a few games of darts thrown in, with my wonderful husband. Perfect 😁 too bloody cold to go anywhere!

SallyWD · 09/12/2022 11:29

Seeing a friend in another city on Saturday so out for the day - lunch and dinner.
On Sunday some friends are having a little lunchtime Christmas party for the children.
Also never ending laundry, present wrapping etc!

ilovebagpuss · 09/12/2022 11:30

Christmas Market in Bham on Sat with DD's and meeting friend and her DD from another part of country. Sat evening watch the footy as we all enjoy it.
Sunday will probably be jobs and cooking and hopefully a bit of wrapping.
Need to put the outside lights up as well. Very cold and frosty here so I will try and get out for a walk as its so pretty.

VikingLady · 09/12/2022 11:53

Me and the DCs wrapped up in duvets with heat pads and tablets on my bed. We have covid.

And probably begging a friend to pop some milk on the doorstep for us, since DH is working away for a couple of weeks.

Sooo much fun. I suspect a very quiet Christmas this year.

UnclearNuclear · 09/12/2022 12:23

Mad as always, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Off to a friend's 50th party tonight and staying over with the DCs, then going to a meeting about dd2's youth trip over lunch in another town, then dropping dd3 off at friend's on the way back. Get living room tree-ready before putting it up on Sunday (after collecting dd3) when I'll also be doing an assessment for the language I'm learning... dh is now expected to be away until Christmas Eve (was expected back mid-week) so no respite from the running dds around.

Isseywith3witchycats · 09/12/2022 12:30

helping a friend move house tomorrow pjs and dressing gown going nowhere on sunday

LadyDanburysHat · 09/12/2022 12:33

Tonight I hope to start some Christmas wrapping, and think of something to get my impossible to buy for parents, totally not panicking 😬

Then tomorrow morning some leaning, with a visit from friends in the afternoon. Sunday, taking one child to band practice and just chilling, maybe a Christmas film with DD.

popandchoc · 09/12/2022 12:37

Tomorrow got to take youngest dd to swimming lesson and it’s her last tap lesson of year so I get to watch . Eldest has cheerleading .
Going to a friends in the evening to drink and watch the football . Sunday will be wrapping as only done two presents so far .

hopeishere · 09/12/2022 12:39

Tree up possibly tonight
I'm meeting a friend tomorrow
We were supposed to be going out tomorrow night but our friends cancelled
Walk in Sunday
Light chores
DS possibly playing rugby but frozen pitches highly likely

Babdoc · 09/12/2022 12:39

Playing in a national online bridge tournament on Saturday then watching England slaughter France in the World Cup (well, I can dreamGrin)
My adult kids and their partners arrive on Sunday to drag the Christmas tree in from the garden and decorate it, in exchange for lunch. I’m making the soup today, and have venison pies and lemon tart in the fridge.
If the snow holds off until then, we will wrap
up warm and have a stroll round the loch or along the Tay.

violetcuriosity · 09/12/2022 12:48

House to myself tonight, tomorrow we have our annual Xmas dinner day with my friends where we each bring part of Christmas dinner and do secret Santa and then Sunday we are taking DD7 to see Santa and then a pub lunch. I'm 30 weeks pregnant so making the most of enjoying these things hangover free because next year I will be drinking all the baileys and Prosecco!

HowCanIPayItForward · 09/12/2022 13:05

I'm recovering from major spinal surgery so I'll be mostly walking laps of my bedroom when I can, in between binge watching Lucifer. I have a friend visiting this evening, and my mum is coming tomorrow and taking the DC to meet Father Christmas.

WhatWouldHopperDo · 09/12/2022 13:08

Food shop tonight

Going to London tomorrow with DH & Adult DD - going to an exhibition, seeing the lights and dinner

DH going away for work on Sunday - he'll leave about 11am so DD and I will be watching Christmas films, eating crap and then picking DS up from work around 8 and getting Maccies (DS Works there 😊)

Funkyslippers · 09/12/2022 13:17

Walking friend's dog with DD tomorrow morning, then going to a Christmas fair thing & shopping. In the evening I'll leave OH at home watching footie so I might go to the local mall to use my Pret subscription and window shop hoping there's not too many people around

hamstersarse · 09/12/2022 13:20

2 christmas parties - after another one last night

I'm exhausted thinking about it

I haven't bought one present yet either never mind the tree
