I've got them all-packed to the rafters in my attic.

hugoagogo · 05/12/2022 18:43

do they make good insulation?

I can get the chicken ones quite easily but chow mein (the best ones) are as rare as hens teeth round here.

Titsywoo · 05/12/2022 18:53

I don't like Supernoodles but Sainsburys do a really good own brand chicken noodles and they have been out of stock for months.

Brendabigbaps · 05/12/2022 18:54

Probably on holiday with all the herta hotdogs

hugoagogo · 05/12/2022 18:55

i have one last chow mein flavor in the cupboard.
All they had in asda earlier were the chicken and herb, which aren't veggie. Sad
(No lost the pot sweet chilli either, which are my fall back.)

We have lots of chow mien in our local supermarket but never any chicken! Maybe we could have an exchange 😁

LafayetteCwenchinglyMcQuaffen · 05/12/2022 18:57

Plenty of the own brand noodles in Aldi here!

AnyFucker · 05/12/2022 18:59

Same place as the Mitchum roll on deodorant

Favouritefruits · 05/12/2022 19:00

Go to your local Chinese supermarket, they have loads and so many different flavours too! They don’t do Bachelors obviously but the ‘Nissan’ ones are great, my Chinese friend recommended them, they come with a packet of flavouring and a little sachet of chilli oil.

C1N1C · 05/12/2022 19:00

Initially I thought that was a euphemism... 😊

NumericalBlock · 05/12/2022 19:01

I struggled to find any, own brand or not for a few months. Asda ended up being the only place I could get own brand ones after a tip off from someone else!

Sunnysal · 05/12/2022 19:02

Oh no! I'm visiting from Spain on my way to my Christmas holidays. I've multiple noodle orders,

baxtersm · 05/12/2022 19:04

None in Tesco for weeks. Asked the girl stacking selves nearby and got a shrug. Said 'oh dear don't know what the kids will have for dinner tonight then' to be stared at blanks! Defo didn't appreciate my sense of humour!

TheChosenTwo · 05/12/2022 19:05

Same for the brand of noodles I like, for a while I saw the brand I like but not the flavour and now there’s just bare spots on the shelf 🥺 I bloody love them so much, and they’re brilliant to Chuck in my bag for a speedy lunch work if between meetings - literally 6 minutes to heat and eat! I really miss them 😢

canfor · 05/12/2022 19:13

Used to regularly buy a 4 pack of Maggi noodles...haven't seen one of those 4 packs in months...was there a fire in the noodle factory or what?!

BarbaraofSeville · 05/12/2022 19:16

Probably increased demand from people buying for Christmas foodbank collections. I bought a few packets the other day as we had one at work.

But there did seem to be quite a lot of noodles out there, so try the different brands, many proper Asian ones are nicer than normal Supernoodles so it's just a matter of trying a few. Also cheap shops like B&M or Home Bargains are often good for packet noodles.

I'm currently looking for a packet of Cornish Wafers to go with the Christmas cheese. I think they're MIA because of either there being a strike at the factory where they're made or a fall out with Tesco over pricing.

ifoundthebread · 05/12/2022 19:18

My local asda has struggled with most flavours but aldi seem to do okay

NigelHargreaves · 05/12/2022 19:21

The Koka ones are lovely, especially the Tom Yum and Spicy Stir Fry flavours. They also do chicken and usually sell them in the newsagent.

UnshakenNeedsStirring · 05/12/2022 19:24

Try Maggie or Kokas, you can buy on amazon or local oriental shops

Sidge · 05/12/2022 19:57

I think they’ve gone to the same place as cream crackers.

Lovemusic33 · 05/12/2022 19:59

Plenty here but had issues finding lasagna sheets last week.

BarbaraofSeville · 05/12/2022 20:00

The cream cracker people are on strike. There isn't a supernoodle strike as far as I know (yet).

Lovemusic33 · 05/12/2022 20:00

Sidge · 05/12/2022 19:57

I think they’ve gone to the same place as cream crackers.

I had issues with Jacobs cream crackers today, could only find the Christmas selection boxes, no packs of just the cream crackers.

Sidge · 05/12/2022 20:03

I haven’t been able to get Tesco cream crackers for weeks and weeks!

Bought some posh expensive Jacobs ones a couple of weeks ago but even they are unavailable now. I don’t want a mixed box, I just want some cream crackers 😩😩
