Good morning all! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just enjoying my first cuppa, in silence, in my spot in the kitchen. There's loads to do today but first I'm going to enjoy the hour of silence.

Then I need to iron, wash up and finish the peg people nativity for work. Need to do a wash load or two, as well & put away the dry stuff. Dd1 said she's going to make some longer paper chains while I do the painting.

After that, it's Christmas decorations day! I think there's still a box in the loft somewhere as they don't all seem to be in the boxes we brought down so they'll need looking for. I'm looking forward to getting them put up 🎄 and enjoying them with a Bailey's later on!

The girls' dad is making burgers for tea 😋 with chunky, skin on, chips. Makes a change for me not to be wondering how I'm fitting in cooking too!

Morning @lucysmam , ordering the Christmas food and going to the garden centre today , probably pick up some Christmas presents there too

Need a food shop but need to wait until AA have sorted the car! Chap coming to look at leaking windows. Need to collect elderly.mother and take her out for a coffee. Also need to get Christmas tree out of attic.
Not a relaxing Sunday

DH has taken DS to football so I'm chilling and watching Top of the Shop with Tom Kerridge.
Need to get showered and dressed and have a bit of a tidy up before they get home.
No real plans for the day the weather is crap.
DS is off to a friends to watch the England match so taxi duty tonight.

I'm still in bed and watching Netflix before my subscription ends tomorrow. It's soooo gloomy outside and think today will be another day when it doesn't get properly light.

I'll probably wave a duster about later and maybe go crazy and get the vacuum out too. Then return to Netflix!

Deliberately having a quiet Sunday, skipping Church - which involves an hours round trip driving but will do some volunteering later to make me feel better ! Hopefully finishing my Christmas cards and a few chores around the house - have been away for a few days - DH is decorating and we are out tonight for a Christmas meal which should be nice. Slept in until 9.15 which made a nice change but still drinking coffee at the moment.

I'm in bed with coffee and toast, waiting for the bathroom to warm up so I can go and have a shower!

No plans today as I worked a six day week so I'll probably just chill.

Kitten wrangling! Have a brand new baby kitty as a friend for my slightly older baby kitty so my house is slightly manic right now!

I have got up, overseen DCs’ breakfast, worked out and returned to bed. And here I plan to stay until the need for more coffee drives me out.

Yesterday I did loads of online Christmas shopping, including for the DCs’ stockings after they wrote their letters to FC 😇 feeling very pleased with having got all that done!

Today’s jobs (once I’m up) will be Christmas card writing, checking when presents need to be ready for people like tutors and Brownies leaders, and cleaning/decorating.

Plus watching the football and eating a roast later.

Oh and laundry. Always bloody laundry.

Decorating the tree and then a big tidy up down stairs. DH is away this week and I may do a BIG declutter before he is back.
Going to see my parents this afternoon.

Just about to get up, put a wash on and have a coffee, quick hoover and mop living room floor. Ddog needs a bath. Then walk to village for meat for dinner. Probably pop into pub for an hour home then chill Dh will light the fire. Dinner about 8 . Love Sunday.

After our big tidy up yesterday it's tree day today yay!

This morning is laundry and homework and I need to pop to the village to the butcher's for sausages for dinner and to post some parcels.

Then after lunch it's tree time!

I've got some ready made Christmas biscuits for the DC tl decorate while DH gets the tree out the loft etc.

Afternoon decorating the tree.

Toad in the hole for dinner with kale and plenty of gravy.

Then my Sunday ritual of gin bath and book once DC asleep, I got one of those surprise book things from a national trust bookshop so looking forward to seeing what it is.

Morning g@lucysmam . We’re doing a big pre decoration sort and tidy today.

We’ll be putting the tree and Decs up on Wednesday evening as it’s the first time we will all be free at the same time. Despite being 24 and 17, the DCs want to make an evening of it which I love.

I’ll fit in a visit to my parent this afternoon. DH is on call so he’ll be unsettled all day! DD is coming to DPs with me and DD is going to work 12-8.

Roast for dinner which DH and I will cook between us.

I’m still in bed! Rare for me on a Sunday but enjoying the relaxing and rest time.
Will get up soon and make breakfast then I need to have a bit of a house sort out, our cleaner was poorly this week and so we didn’t do our usual declutter of building up things around the house so there are now a few piles of stuff that need dealing with.
got some washing that needs doing and some that needs putting away.
will take dd2 to work. Think dh and ds are going to sort dinner before the football and while they watch that I’ll go to the spa to escape the noise and drama 😂

We put our tree up yesterday. We also have kittens, two 5 month old kittens who love the tree!

Today we are having Christmas Dinner, then going to the crem to visit DS and put up his decorations. After that we're off to the flicks to see Violent Night.

Oh, and my office is resembling santas grotto with all the parcels and packages that have arrived, set to get far worse today and tomorrow, I need to get a bit of organising going on in there - think I’ll unbox everything and get the recycling in the bin ready for tomorrow and then maybe start some wrapping this afternoon. We aren’t putting the tree up for a while though so they’ll have to continue living in the office!

I read these threads all the time but this is my first time posting on one, its lovely to see what everyone is up too.

Im at work, feeling guilty and sad as our lovely dog has to be put to sleep tomorrow morning as he has a mass of tumours on his spleen that are rupturing and causing him to bleed internally.. such a sad situation so this evening will be filled with love and cuddles with him. Not looking forward to tomorrow

I'm having a quiet moment with a cuppa before I head up to watch ds2 play rugby. I've already prepped all the veg for lunch and the meat is slow cooking.

I'll pick my mum up after rugby for Sunday lunch at ours, and I think my dbro and SIL are also popping over later.

We've brought the tree in ready to decorate so hopefully we'll manage that this evening when everyone has gone home, although when dbro gets settled it can be hard to shift him!

I just took DD to church and am about to do some yoga. We're all under the weather and it's my TOM so I might be lazy and skip her swimming class this week... So cold/wet outside though and we need to stretch legs at some point so might force DH & DS to go to a shopping centre with us to feel festive.

Need to wrap DS's birthday presents for next week, then I'm at a work awards ceremony this evening so it'll be a late one. Always strange on a Sunday!

I am on day 8 of the worst cold I have ever had, it’s not covid. Another local friend had similar and it took them two weeks to recover. So not much except finishing a Christmas wreath I’m making, I am going to make a smaller one for DS GF for her door in her shared house as well as she is popping in tomorrow.
