Good morning all! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just enjoying my first cuppa, in silence, in my spot in the kitchen. There's loads to do today but first I'm going to enjoy the hour of silence.

Then I need to iron, wash up and finish the peg people nativity for work. Need to do a wash load or two, as well & put away the dry stuff. Dd1 said she's going to make some longer paper chains while I do the painting.

After that, it's Christmas decorations day! I think there's still a box in the loft somewhere as they don't all seem to be in the boxes we brought down so they'll need looking for. I'm looking forward to getting them put up 🎄 and enjoying them with a Bailey's later on!

The girls' dad is making burgers for tea 😋 with chunky, skin on, chips. Makes a change for me not to be wondering how I'm fitting in cooking too!

I've been doing a bit more online shopping for presents for the granddaughters. Husband has been fixing together some (flatpack) drawers I bought. I've "done my roots". Got some ironing to do, plus dry washing to put away. I'm going to go to B&M later for wrapping paper, then I'll wrap all the stuff I've been buying for the last week. Steak pie for tea.

@Mumofboyss I am so sorry, your dog has obviously had a loving family. My cat is getting old and I dread that day.

So far I’ve tidied the built in wardrobes, filled a bag for the charity shop, cleared the pile of ironing and put away, prepped the vegetables for dinner and emptied the dishwasher. DH is supposed to be walking the dog, but I bet I end up doing it lazy tosser
I need to dig out the Christmas cards sometime I guess and start thinking about buying presents etc , zero enthusiasm.

We had all the family round yesterday for a pre Christmas get together. I'm staying rooted to the sofa today. Lots of food from yesterday in the fridge so not even cooking today. All decorations are already up. Might write Xmas cards and put a wash on but otherwise watching the cricket and football all day.

Have put the main tree up, done 3 loads of laundry inc bedding, hoovered up, unclogged the hoover head of hair put all the Christmas boxes back in the loft and washed some dishes.
Thankfully have a casserole re heat for dinner so just need to chuck potatoes in the oven for jackets once we're back from seeing friends at the pub.

Fed our litter of pups and gone back to bed with a cuppa. Need to nip to Sainsbury's for a few things then clean out pups, bath them and let them have a run around in the kitchen. Finishing washing etc. England match tonight. Cold, grey and miserable day here. Would like to sort out bottom of wardrobe as have bought some storage boxes and moisture traps for there. Need to dye grey's too.

We’re putting our tree up next w/e, I will be interested to see how AllotmentCat reacts, Technically it’s not her first Christmas but she’s a rescue so idk if she has ever seen a tree indoors!

Tree didnt get done...but i did clean the oven which is a hideous job. Tree will get done this week when one of the kids goes into the attic to get the tree and decs. If they dont do it,I'm buggered if it will get done at all.
Asked DS to do it today. Said he couldn't as he was busy.

Our tree is up, and my fireplace garland. The beads keep falling & making me jump though 🤷‍♀️

Oven cleaning is on the list for later in the month when I cba to do it. I do keep thinking about it though, so I'm half way there!
