Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I've been up since just after 7am 🙄, spent an hour scrolling mindlessly & drinking my first cuppa of the day. I've just made a fresh coffee to take up while I get dressed.

The washer's on so I can hang uniforms to dry before heading into town.

Today's Christmas shopping for the girls day, with their dad! There may be a pub lunch somewhere along the way. I just need to remember the list of things I definitely want to pick up. I'm rediculously excited 🤣 I love Christmas shopping/planning/organising!

The girls are staying here - I bought them a few treats while I was out with dd1 yesterday & they're ready for a proper moochy kind of day.

Tonight I'm going to crochet I think, or maybe catch up with Nigel Slater's Christmas Chronicles, in front of the food channel. There may be a glass of wine or two as well.

Morning! After a busy week I'm a bit wiped out. Slow start woken by DCat 2 demanding food. On second coffee now. DH has to work this morning and me and DD 15 are heading into town.
Christmas tree switch on later in town Square with a few stalls and mulled wine.
Lots of laundry jobs to do trying to use the airer more but it makes more work with washing hanging about and moving stuff around to dry.
Hopefully find a film later and light the fire. Paella for dinner.

Ooh, and very excitingly we have just been given an instant pot with air fryer lid so I’m researching something to cook in it later! 😂😁

Been up since 6.30 just had Aldi egg mayo on toast,it was rank! Tasted so strongly of vinegar,won't buy that again.
Shattered after a busy evening shopping for black Friday deals,told the kids if it wasn't written on a list they wouldn't be getting it 😁
DS1 sent the list at 10.00pm last night!
DS2 still in bed after a hard week of exams
Taking my SIL for afternoon tea later so looking forward to that.
Maybe finish writing my Christmas cards and start a bit of wrapping if I can be bothered.

Weve had a slow start to the morning, teens still in bed, younger ones in our bed playing. DH and I have tea and toast it's all cosy!

Heading to library in a bit, teens will probably go to Starbucks or something.

Home for lunch and the usual uniform washing etc.

Not sure about dinner yet, might pick something up in town, or might have a freezer rummage, or might get a cheap takeaway eg fishcakes and chips.

Wine and TV with DH once children asleep!

I'm going to admit, I am not feeling the love for Christmas yet! Maybe it will arrive soon 🤩

Currently relaxing with my first cuppa. Then we have a dog walk planned and the cinema to watch Matilda. I think we will grab a Wagamamas on the way back and have a cosy evening in watching strictly!

Absolutely nothing planned. DP is away for the weekend (we don't live with each other). Adult DS is away for the weekend, leaving me home alone with the cats.

House is reasonably clean and tidy. Shopping delivery between 3pm and 4pm.

Might stay in bed all day with the cats, watching a film or two. Might even have a nap.

After 29 years of parenting kids up until they turn 18, weekends like this are bliss.

DS13 has drama and DS16 volunteering at local library. They can get the,selves there and back now (hurrah for teens). DH and I are off to a singing workshop at the community centre. Been out two nights on the trot to gigs so will be chilling tonight in front of the Tv.

Woke up to a swimming pool in my kitchen, just had the plumber out this week to fix the leak and now it's even worse had to shut off my water! Waiting for him to come back and see if we can get it fixed.
Was supposed to take ds7 out on a birthday outing but can't do that anymore and now I feel like I have a sickness bug coming on.

When it rains it pours.

Woke up full of cold this morning so I'm pottering about in my pjs. DP is bathing dd and dropping her off at a play date soon, dd18 is in bed after rolling in at 5.30 this morning and dd15 is at my mums this weekend.
I was planning on going round the shops this afternoon but might stay on the sofa with my tissues instead 😂

I’m working 11 to 8 😭

Had a relaxed morning (was up 4 times with my youngest last night so I'm very tired) and soon I'll be starting my dog walks/pet visits for the day, probably take my eldest to catch up with a friend and her children a little later. Sausages, mash and beans for dinner and then as soon as the kids are in bed I'll be asleep myself!

Morning. Ds2 has football this morning so leaving for that shortly. Ds1 is off to tennis, he's able to get there and back.
This afternoon will be a food shop a quick tidy and then off to see the panto tonight. Can't wait I love a panto.

My friend seems to have forgotten I was meeting her for coffee this morning..and I’m drinking the coffee that the staff had forgotten I had ordered and I had to ask for it again! 😆😆

Morning all. I have just returned home from my daughters swimming lesson. Planning to take lots of stuff to the local charity shop this morning! Once I have had a good clear out I will be ready to start my pre Christmas clean!

Doing DD’s classes this morning then meeting friends at a NT this aft. Probably takeaway, footy and I’m a celeb later.

Middle DC isn't well (horrid cough and cold, not the dreaded Covid though) so we've given swimming a miss today. DP is working this morning so I'd have to have taken poorly child poolside while the other DC had thier lesson. So essentially we're all still in PJ's being uber lazy 😁

Have the food shop coming soon and then this afternoon I'm taking eldest to lego club. I'll have a mooch around the shops and a hot chocolate whilst waiting.

Film, popcorn and lazy evening planned.

Finally sorting through all DD’s and my old clothes to donate and chuck. It’s been building up for years 😂

Then just having a couple of friends over for wine and tacos later.

Ordered my Christmas present to me earlier, Chanel No. 5 perfume, going to meet friend lunchtime in town for mooch round what shops are there, which isn't many these days, then deliver some Christmas cards on my way home.

Once indoors, about 5pm ish, have large gin and tonic while sort out tea, watch TV and write out few more cards.

Oh shit I have to send Xmas cards as well. Thanks for the reminder @cobblers123 !

I’ve already dropped DDog off with his sitter and been to Tesco.

Leaving for town shortly to get my hair cut and get some new jeans. May also browse for some Christmas presents.

DH and I are going out with friends about 4 and on to dinner. DD is away for the weekend and DS has just left for work.

DH is cracking on with refitting our bathroom, we’re so close to finishing but weekends are precious and there’s always something else that needs doing!

I had a bit of a lie in and an hour of mooching and chatting to ds1.
I've been food shopping and mostly put it away, but took a pause for a coffee and almond croissant.
I shall take a mooch into town later and need to pop some shopping over to my mum's.
We'll watch the England rugby match later when Dh gets home from work.

Love these threads. Got half way through reading earlier but then dog demanded a walk. So that is done.

Had a nice long shower earlier.

Second wash of the day is on an extra spin. I’ve vacuumed the living room. Hoping to get DH to put pictures up in there later and remove some stuff that doesn’t belong there and then maybe I’ll clean the windows. Then that room is ready for Christmas decorations. But not until December.

Need to brush the dog too. She’s shedding like anything and I’m allergic. May also invest in a robot vacuum.

DS is just getting up I think. DH is faffing about on the computer although he did empty the dishwasher earlier.

I’m just having a coffee.

Dinner is crispy chilli chicken with rice and wine and then something on TV.

Plan was - put up Christmas tree, organise elves and facepainting at Xmas fair, bit of Christmas shopping....
Reality is - 3 down with Covid, 1 vomiting into a bucket, 1 sulking due to cancellation of above and me taking care of everyone after 2 nights of no sleep...
I may crack open the Bailey's in a minute.

I'm about to go on a date with a man I've been talking to for a couple of weeks. I'm nervous and excited. Wish me luck .
