Personally, I don't understand them. To me they look very grannyish.

Love them. Wish I had done it instead of my 'in fashion' strapless dress.

WeAreTheHeroes · 20/11/2022 09:22

She looks beautiful. Nothing grannyish about it at all. Not everyone suits every style and frankly an awful lot of women wear dresses which they perceive to be what they should wear as a bride which don't actually flatter them.

rainbowandglitter · 20/11/2022 09:22

I think they're beautiful. I couldn't have one as my boobs are too big but would have done otherwise.

I think they look lovely. Wouldn't suite me do to my shape but i think they look very elegant.

Matter of opinion. Don’t think she looks grannyish at all. She looks very elegant. How we, don’t think they would suit everyone like it suits her. Depends on body type.

Bluevelvetsofa · 20/11/2022 09:29

I think that looks beautiful and I like the simple, close fitting elegant type of silhouette that Carolyn Bessette had.

SkinnyFatte · 20/11/2022 09:31

I think she looks nice. I have a round, podgy face so it would look terrible on me. You have to be slim and have good bone structure to get away with it.

piedbeauty · 20/11/2022 09:34

What a lovely thread, ageist and misogynistic, picking apart another woman's choice of wedding dress.

I think Naomi looks lovely, elegant and chic, not at all 'grannyish' 🙄🙄🙄

Sometimes it's a religious thing. I think maybe that's a catholic conservative choice.

Horses for courses and all that.

CallieApricot · 20/11/2022 09:40

She looks lovely

kingtamponthefurred · 20/11/2022 09:52

The dress is classic, elegant and beautiful, and very becoming to the bride.

Notonationalism · 20/11/2022 09:53

Really lovely, classy.

kegofcoffee · 20/11/2022 09:58

Personally I like them. Most people actually have a lower cut dress and then a high neck lace overlay than they take off later in the day to give a second look.

So you have the covered look for the church and then a more on show for the reception.

But I'm very short and just couldn't carry one off.

balalake · 20/11/2022 10:00

Like them, as I do most high necked clothing.

bloodyplanes · 20/11/2022 10:11

They can look very classy but are easy to get wrong and end up looking like an old lady. Definitely much nicer than the strapless monstrosity's with boobs and back fat hanging out everywhere!

Twizbe · 20/11/2022 10:15

Some women like to dress more modestly. Some for religious reasons, some just because.

Some of these are very elegant styles

MightyAtlantic · 20/11/2022 10:18

I think they look nice but if that was me I would be constantly pulling at the collar and scratching my neck as the lace would be irritating me. I'm getting itchy just thinking about it!

Blocked · 20/11/2022 10:20

I like them. Much better than the ones you see everywhere that have sheer panels, lace with no lining underneath and are backless. Some of the dresses I've seen make me think of my dad saying 'hope you're going to put a coat on over that' when I was a teenager wearing some skimpy outfit on Friday nights Grin

Yoyooo · 20/11/2022 10:21

I'm more curious to ask why Jill Biden has dressed as Serena Joy.
