We are staying in the airport hotel opposite airport.
2 min walk to door
Our flight is at 8am
What time would you get there?

If you're checking in bags I'd go as early as bag check opens, typically three hours. But I always get to the airport early!

jugglerofballs · 16/11/2022 20:28

What time does your airline ask you to be through security? About half an hour to an hour before that. The same as any airport trip. Where you stay overnight beforehand really makes no difference.

whoruntheworldgirls · 16/11/2022 20:29

European flight 5:45-6am, long haul 4:45-5.

windoesfloorsdoors · 16/11/2022 20:30

We are going to lanzarote
Need to check in and drop bags

If it's Manchester, aim to arrive at bag drop at 5am.

windoesfloorsdoors · 16/11/2022 20:31

No it's Newcastle

No it's Newcastle

Then 2 hours before will be perfect. Even at the height of the summer its was taking an average of 6 1/2 mins to get through security.

TastesLikeFlavourlessFizz · 16/11/2022 20:42

6am. Even for long-haul.

TigerDroveAgain · 16/11/2022 20:44

5, then have a nice breakfast

chisum · 16/11/2022 20:45

Are you going with easyJet? If so I'd get there early as they can overbook flights

MightyAtlantic · 16/11/2022 20:45

I'd be walking through the airport doors at 6am.

TheChosenTwo · 16/11/2022 20:45

our flight was 8:40 Monday, we aimed to get to the airport at 6, park and get the bus to the airport. We had checked in online but we were advised to get there 2 hours beforehand regardless.
Gave us time for dh to get a cup of tea and me to do a bit of shopping…

gogohmm · 16/11/2022 20:45

See if they have twilight bag drop, then you can turn up 90 mins before the flight

ForestDad · 16/11/2022 20:46

Leave the hotel between 6&6:30.

GCAcademic · 16/11/2022 20:47

6am.

maddiemookins16mum · 16/11/2022 20:59

Leave hotel at 5am.

Activelyannoyed · 16/11/2022 21:03

Latest 5.30, I cannot be doing with the utter stress of potentially missing my flight as the queues are long. The truth is I’d be there about 5 ish.

NicLondon1 · 16/11/2022 21:08

Another 6am here... Plenty of time to check in, go through security, grab a coffee then walk straight onto the plane.
I don't like shopping nor sitting around in airports, I like to get on the plane and go!

lljkk · 16/11/2022 21:12

6:15ish. maybe 6:25. Assuming it's Heathrow or Gatwick.

More like 7;15 if it's Southend.
