I'm talking a mega big win, not just a bit of money.

I like this one.

I would get some solar panels put in the field though!

Hm, it’s a bit small for my liking, “only” 4 bathrooms. 😀

beAsensible1 · 08/11/2022 10:17

the one !

might need a few curtains though

Tangled123 · 08/11/2022 10:20

I really like my current house so I don’t think I would buy another one. I would probably just pay off my existing mortgage and/or build one to my own tastes (unlikely because I’m lazy when it comes to things like that).

This will do nicely.

Riverlee · 08/11/2022 10:26

this one

This would be on my short list.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 08/11/2022 10:29

I would build. Dh and I have an agreement - he picks the plot, I get carte blanche on the house.

He wants woodland and coast within walking distance, I want a secret bathroom none of them know about, a jigsaw room, and a wine cellar.

I know who is getting the better end of this deal!

Tippexy · 08/11/2022 10:32

Yet another lottery thread this morning!

I love this one! I was just asking my DD the other day if she’d dare live in it, I didn’t know it’s for sale. Now, just got to rustle up a spare £7 million.

Mummieslncorporated · 08/11/2022 10:34

I would buy two.

A secluded small cosy log cabin or cottage.

A two, or at a push three, bedroom flat in the city that I live.

I would hate a big house.

MrsSkylerWhite · 08/11/2022 10:34

A city centre penthouse. The entire top floor with a wrap around terrace in Glasgow, Edinburgh or Perth.

Oh yes! Can I be your live-in cleaner 😁

mondaytosunday · 08/11/2022 10:45

@beAsensible1 not sure about the neighbours 🧟!

With each floor ranging in size from 2700sf to 3000sf, the conceptual redesign for the property accommodates 5 bedrooms, 12 baths, Living, Dining, Parlors, Salon, Lounge, Study, Two Offices, an In-law Suite, a Terrace and a Roof Deck, Fitness Room with Spa, a Wine Room, Wet Bars and a 3-Car Garage.

That would be my ‘town’ residence.

With enough money I'd like a bit of a project, so this one:
www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/126967139

I'd get ti sympathetically refurbed and updated, with a lovely glassy modern exo extension, some clever underground rooms and convert all the outbuildings into studios, workshops, guesthouses....
Bliss.

ABrotherWhoLooksLikeHellMugYou · 08/11/2022 10:52

*eco

I would also buy something on the coast for holidays

Jaffacats · 08/11/2022 11:10

If I won a big sum of money I’d want a nature pool in the garden - something like this:www.studiofuse.co.uk/boshamgranddesigns

Not the biggest house you could get for the money but the houses on this street are absolutely beautiful and I would love to live in one. It's the perfect location for me as well.

mast0650 · 08/11/2022 11:17

This one, recently sold near me is rather wonderful: www.primelocation.com/for-sale/details/61578559/

Though, to be honest, these days I don't really crave a big house at all. Ours is plenty big enough - most of the time it is just the two of us. If I do another move it will be to a new, eco-friendly build, a little smaller than we have now. But it depends on finding a perfectly building plot in our village which is highly unlikely!

ABrotherWhoLooksLikeHellMugYou · 08/11/2022 11:20

Found my dream holiday home, too.very reasonable. Doesn't even need renovating.
www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/112003925

On my next coffee break I'm going to look for my city pied a terre

theDudesmummy · 08/11/2022 11:20

I would buy the derelict large rural hotel near me and turn it into a wonderful spa/therapies centre/retreat/culinary destination linked in with the area and landscape...

Ooh yes. Like on a grand designs episode I saw recently
