Characters who were better/more interesting than the lead?

I always wished that we could have learned more about Santiago in Interview with The Vampire(Book and film). He seemed so interesting from the few details we got and I'd rather have spent more time with him than Louis. I do like Louis but he can be a little tedious.

Which side characters did you prefer over the main characters?

Every character except for Charles and Carrie in Four Weddings and a Funeral.

Those two are dreadful.

Most of orange is the new black, I get Piper was the one who wrote the book- but she could have finished her sentence in that first series and let the interesting characters carry the show on.

Yes, I want to ‘now more about sharp, decided, rich, posh Fiona, whose long-running passion for affable dimwit Charles of the dire dress sense and bashful gaze was always a bit baffling. What does she do for work? What did Carrie see in the ghastly, tweedy old Tory Hamish? How did Gareth and Matthew meet? Whose idea was it to seat Charles at a table populated entirely by unimpressed former girlfriends? (Whose wedding is that at? He must have really pissed off the bride and/or groom…)

Interesting thread!

I’d love to hear Wickham and Willoughby’s stories.
