How can you kill a child and be out in 3yrs!

Arghhh no reason for my thread other than to vent!!

I remember reading this story and feeling so sick over how someone could intentionally hurt a child like that and the mother just telling him to ‘shut up’ because he was crying in pain.

Yes he didn’t intend to kill him but he intended to hurt him, which surely deserves more than 3 years!

Some people are just the lowest of the low!

I remember this too!!! 😡😡

Tallulasdancingshoes · 29/10/2022 21:23

I remember this too. That poor child, 3 years is absolutely nothing. It’s a disgrace.

Kpo58 · 29/10/2022 21:25

Because they would rather have violent men in society rather than doing something about them properly.

LetUsPounce · 29/10/2022 21:25

I remember this too. It's a killing that remains with you. It's a disgrace.

Thesearmsofmine · 29/10/2022 21:28

Oh I remember reading about this too. Absolutely disgusting that he is already out and free to live his life when he killed an innocent child.

GoodnightGentleBoris · 29/10/2022 21:32

This makes me want to cry, I have a nearly 3 year old and to think how much pain he must have been in and how scared… it’s just awful

Pumpkinpatchlookinggood · 29/10/2022 21:33

Hopefully he will get what he deserves on the outside.. Presumably he had protection inside.

GhastlyBoo · 29/10/2022 21:35

I remember this too. It's heartbreaking what happened to that little boy.

scrivette · 29/10/2022 21:36

It really is unbelievable he is out, also that his sentence was so short initially.

OneFrenchEgg · 29/10/2022 21:37

'The son of a former Tory minister' - I don't know I'm always suspicious of connections. Otherwise, who knows? Life is cheap especially when you are a small fragile toddler at the hands of the utter dregs of society.

TroublesomeLuck · 29/10/2022 21:38

I'm sure the fact his dad is a Tory MP has absolutely nothing to do with it.

BobbyBobbyBobby · 29/10/2022 21:38

The mother deserved to be punished. She and her friend didn’t have car seats so they deliberately placed their young children on the floor of the car behind the front seats whilst they satcom the back and the two males sat in the front.

Illegal and a complete disregard for the welfare of their children.

Cock before kids.

As for him, he’s an oxygen thief and his evilness aimed at a defenceless child in a vulnerable position resulting in their death should have meant he never got released into the society again.

All four adults in that car should have been punished far more severely than any of them were:

Maytodecember · 29/10/2022 21:41

This country is a disgrace. Barely any time in prison for killing a child.
Im sure this has nothing to do with his release “The son of a former Tory minister jailed in 2019 …….”
RIP Alfie, safe from these vile creatures.

ClaudiusTheGod · 29/10/2022 21:41

I remember this case well and I also remember it being discussed on here. It seems no time at all… and that is because it IS no time at all. What a bloody disgrace.

SavingsThreads · 29/10/2022 21:44

The worst thing is he's only been release one year early. He only got a 7 year sentence, the last two of which were on license (out of prison). The whole thing is insane

VeniVidiWeeWee · 29/10/2022 21:44

Judges are constained by guidelines on sentencing.

Stop throthing.

sussexman · 29/10/2022 21:46

It looks to be because they assessed his culpability under category C www.sentencingcouncil.org.uk/offences/crown-court/item/unlawful-act-manslaughter/ and so he ended up with 6 years. He's served half of the sentence and so would normally be released under license at this point.

converseandjeans · 29/10/2022 21:46

I remember this case well & it upset me at the time.

He is the adopted son of a former MP who no doubt has mates who are lawyers.

He must have been really frightened stuck in the footwell & I don't know how the other 3 adults in the car could turn a blind eye to what was happening.

IncompleteSenten · 29/10/2022 21:47

Sentencing guidelines need to be properly looked at and changes made imo.

CarefreeMe · 29/10/2022 21:49

The son of a former Tory minister' - I don't know I'm always suspicious of connections.

I wondered that too.

Things like this are awful when just one person is there but it always makes it so much worse when there are other adults there because surely one of them (especially the mum) would say stop you’re hurting him.

toor · 29/10/2022 21:55

It's because he spent 567 days on remand beforehand. You only ever serve half your sentence in the uk anyway

RoseLemon · 29/10/2022 21:55

I remember this. Can't believe it's 3 years. That poor little boy. Such disregard for his life. The act was despicable and the fact that none of the other adults, especially his mother, intervened. How could you sit there with your child on the floor being quite clearly crushed and do nothing about it. That poor child.

What does throthing mean?

Flubber88 · 29/10/2022 22:17

These two should have been strung up.
