How can you kill a child and be out in 3yrs!

Arghhh no reason for my thread other than to vent!!

I remember reading this story and feeling so sick over how someone could intentionally hurt a child like that and the mother just telling him to ‘shut up’ because he was crying in pain.

Yes he didn’t intend to kill him but he intended to hurt him, which surely deserves more than 3 years!

Some people are just the lowest of the low!

Nasty, nasty piece of work, vile.

The justice system in this country needs a total overhaul, roots and branch. It's no longer fit for purpose. There are too many people within the system getting rich who have a vested interest in putting criminals back on the street so they can commit more crimes.

ahunf · 29/10/2022 22:40

Oh god awful. I wonder why he was sat on the floor. Was it planned?

PumpkinOwl · 29/10/2022 22:42

@VeniVidiWeeWee do you mean frothing by any chance?

You want people to stop frothing over this? Why?

ahunf · 29/10/2022 22:45

Ignore me just seen the comment.

Unseelie · 29/10/2022 22:47

😭 he should have got at least ten years for that. Shocking.

Hollyhobbi · 29/10/2022 22:56

10 years?! Life in prison without parole would be too good for him.

riotlady · 29/10/2022 22:58

On top of the actual crime, he also intimidated witnesses to try and get out of it, so clearly felt no remorse at all

I agree.

The amount of articles I’ve read about peados and they just get a slap on the wrist.

I read about a man who was in jail for longer than this for drug possession.

Obviously it’s not great and he got rightly punished but I’d rather have him walking the streets than a child killer who is more than likely going to go on and have his own children or get with a single mum.

Wow.
You would think just the intimidating witnesses would be 3 years in jail.

Sounds like a right piece of work and not someone I want walking freely around.

I can’t believe he’s out now. I started a thread on here “frothing” about this piece of shit’s paltry sentence. Seems like no time ago.

He and the child’s mother should have been locked up for a very long time.

Discovereads · 29/10/2022 23:02

Alfie was sat at his mothers feet in the foot well and when the guy backed the seat he started to cry and his mother told Alfie to shut up.
So they both killed him. They both went to prison for it.

SpookabooAtTheZoo · 29/10/2022 23:15

I believe when he was arrested he said he was going to get away with this because of his connections. I won't be surprised if this thread gets zapped for the same reason.
Children's lives should be worth more than this. There should be harsher sentences for killing children because they're so much more vulnerable than adults and so dependent on adults to protect them and treat them with care.

Minimalme · 29/10/2022 23:15

I despair over how the judicial system minimises the rights of children who are victims of abuse.

Both perpetrators will contribute nothing good to society. They will remain a malign and evil presence.

I hope they suffer.

SpookabooAtTheZoo · 29/10/2022 23:19

The mother's been out for a while as well.

I agree.

And he didn’t accidentally push his seat back, he did it to cause him immense pain - how can they think he’s safe enough to be freed yet.

I hope she doesn’t have any more children.

For anyone who kills a child, being sterilised should be a condition of release.
