..why?

Comfort? Trend?

My dad used to wear a pair of Dr Schol sandals with socks in the 1980's, and I distinctly remember my mum being embarrassed if he stopped to talk to the neighbours in them!

So where has this particular trend come from? The US I'm guessing.

My DS aged 11 wears this combo for context. Just 'because'...🤷‍♀️

My Mum had about 5 pairs of Scholls but would never wear them with socks.

I think it's meant to look scruffy but that scruffy is 'in.'
