Good morning all! What's everyone up to today?

I've had a lie in and am just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in bed for a change! I'm going to get up in a minute, put the washer on and tidy round before anyone else is up.

We need to nip to town today for a small list for my Rainbows and Guides for this half term, and a PE top for dd2. Oh, and my boots need re-heeling! We were out yesterday & spent a fair bit though so not spending much at all today.

When we get in, I have a couple of bits to finish for work - a broom to go with the Room on The Broom story props I've painted, and a crochet banana.

I don't think the girls will be fussed about doing much, but we'll see.

Tonight, I want to try the church part of my crochet village again. I can't get it quite the right size & it's annoying me - I'll try another hook size down.

No idea what's for tea yet, something out of the freezer most likely 🤷‍♀️

Morning @lucysmam your crochet always sounds lovely 🥰 love you getting boots reheeled instead of buying new...make do and mend. I had some favourite boots for years and years and kept getting them fixed but in the end they couldn't do it anymore ☹️

Nice day planned here it's raining though. We are off into town to the library and I've got a few errands to run, post some parcels, DC haircuts etc.

We will hopefully be home for lunch or we will grab a pasty in town. For dinner I'm getting something from m and s. Haven't been to m and s food hall since the summer as trying to save money so really looking forward to it today! Thinking maybe one of those takeaway boxes they do we can pad it out a bit aswell.

We are mostly recovering from/trying not to catch various ailments so will be mostly at home. I need to catch up on the neglected housework. DH will be carving pumpkins with the DC.

I might offer to do some baking with the DC, they both love that. Maybe flapjacks.

Trying to rescue our half term from the throes of utter boredom so reading this thread for inspiration! 😆

Strictly Halloween week later, with wine ☺️

I'm on the sofa. Just had a cup of tea.

Contemplating going to the shops but I need petrol and the garage I go to is in the other direction.

I've got cleaning to do but I'm not back at work until Monday so that can wait.

If I don't go shopping I'm staying on the sofa and watching tv for the rest of the day.

We’re staying in a fantastic hotel in Manchester after coming over for a show last night. About to head down for breakfast. Home later this morning and a quiet day pottering. Off to the pub to meet some friends later on (just for an hour), and after a night out last night I’ve got a hankering to cook something new at home this evening, so will have to dig out my recipe books for inspiration.

Nothing. Wiped out with a cold.

I was supposed to run 15 miles with a friend who is doing a tough marathon this morning but im pooped.

absolutely gutted so i can only track her on the app.

I just made an eggy bread (sorry, French toast) platter breakfast for the weenies, we were going to head to local farm but it’s pouring so Halloween craft morning and maybe a trip to home bargains for sweets for the kids who come Monday night.
back to school Monday so a sort of book bags, homework, uniform check so tomorrow can all be forgotten about

@Decafflatteplease I think this will be the last year I can push these boots tbh - some of the stitching is starting to fail but for now it's covered by a false buckle bit so they're fine. I've been looking for similar but no joy yet & these are so comfy 😢

Still in my PJs watching Star Trek. Wanted to go into the city as DD13 needs new bras but UGH!

Other than that I have no plans, bit of housework. Nothing major.

I'm still fighting off a nasty virus so energy is not in a good supply.

Gathering 300 odd sheep in for worming - it's currently pissing it down and the last thing I want to do is wrangle wet sheep 😩

Still it needs doing and I've got the dc here for once so it's all hands on deck.

May just have another coffee first though.....

I had coffee in bed at the crack of dawn today, and now I'm up and about and have had breakfast. It's pouring with rain here, and looks as though it's set in for the day.
I've got some family admin to do, then put through my grocery order. I might add a few little Christmasy fun things to it.
I'm making moules marinière for lunch, one of my favourites, then I'll watch a film this afternoon.

It's a lovely, breezy sunny day. We've just had a fry up and are heading out to drag in horses to get out for a ride.

Ds and I are eating breakfast then we will go to morrisons to stock up on their hot chocolate powder (their cheapest packet costs about £1 and it's amazing!).

I have a vague plan to move ds's room around. There's a bloody huge pool table in there that he never uses so it's time to bite the bullet and take it down.

Might carve a pumpkin later 🎃

My OH is fishing today so DD and I are about to create an epic breakfast, after which I will unpick the crappy knitting I started last week and sit and do that most of the day

Currently hiding in the car from the rain whilst my DD does her horse riding lesson. Then it's Aldi to get some bits for tonight as we are seeing friends, swimming with youngest DD & we need to do a bit of house stuff. Ideally I'd like to go back to bed for a snooze though but I'm not sure that's likely to happen.

Raining here too. I'm about to get dressed and go do the food shop, dd18 and dd15 are still in bed, dd6 is watching tv.
Supposed to go to a Halloween party later but nobody seems to want to go, the kids have asked for a takeaway and movie night instead.
This afternoon I'll do some Halloween stuff with my youngest and I'm determined to get the stairs hoovered today too

Just finished pastries and coffee, now going to get dressed and go for a mooch around a craft fair that’s just up the road, and maybe take in a charity shop or two while I’m out. It’s chucking it down with rain though so that may limit how far I go!

DS is on the PlayStation and DH on his phone, doubt either will come with me, even with the prospect of cakes from the fair!

Rest of the day will be laundry and prep for back to school and work on Monday.

I’m having a lazy day today. Food shop has been delivered and put away this morning and the washer is on but I’m still in my pjs sitting on the sofa with a cup of tea.

Dh is at work again today, Dd15 had a friend stay over last night and they’re still asleep, dd18 is awake but still in her room and I haven’t seen dd8 since pretty much lunchtime on Wednesday! She has had 3 sleepovers in a row (one at my sisters then has stayed at dh’s parents for the past two nights) so she’ll no doubt be exhausted when/if she comes home this afternoon.

We’re meant to be going to a friend’s this evening as they’ve planned a huge children’s Halloween party but it depends on how tired dd8 is and if she even comes home - grandma is a softy and will let her stay over as much as she wants.

Other than that I have no plans and I’m secretly hoping we don’t need to go out tonight so I can sit with a glass of wine and watch Game of Thrones with the 15 year old.

I'm going to the Museum of the Moon at Bolton Abbey this morning and doing the pumkin trail and then I'll be watching football this afternoon.

Feeling grotty with a cold I've had for a week. I'm keeping going though as I work in a school and I am back Monday so want to make the most of the time. Going to a big shopping mall with mum this morning. I plan to get a fair few Xmas presents. We'll probably have lunch out. Dh works shifts so he's in bed and ds,17 will surface later. Will relax this afternoon - read, plan our holiday next year (already booked but it's fun planning trips out etc), might start wrapping Xmas presents. Ds will be doing college work and revision for an exam coming up. I'll make something quick and easy for tea. We'll watch a couple of our show that the 3 of us are watching. Ds will then go off and play guitar, me and dh will watch Strictly before he goes to work. Ds and I will watch our guilty pleasure show then its off to bed for me.

Need a Halloween outfit at work. Was being pressed into going as Sarah Sanderson but costumes are ridiculously expensive so I'm just going as a regular witch if I can find a hat!

Had swimming for youngest this morning but no other clubs today as half term so not too bad.
Rest of today will just be doing a bit of cleaning, need to pick up school skirt for eldest and youngest wants to make a bird feeder.

We’re having our annual halloween party tonight, its also our first night completely childfree, so we’ll either be worry free or neurotic. I’ve got loads I need to do for tonight, I have however managed to get a normal shoe on, I’ll probably regret in the morning, but I value outfit vanity over helping my foot heal.

We’ve been to a kids halloween event this morning, it was actually really good and not complete chaos. My sons currently teaching the baby to walk by showing her youtube videos of babies walking, not sure it works like that, but cute.

Not much of a fun day for me 😕

Have just got back home after the aforementioned hotel breakfast - it was epic! Sticky toffee muffins are healthy enough for breakfast, right? 😀
