Good morning all! What's everyone up to today?

I've had a lie in and am just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in bed for a change! I'm going to get up in a minute, put the washer on and tidy round before anyone else is up.

We need to nip to town today for a small list for my Rainbows and Guides for this half term, and a PE top for dd2. Oh, and my boots need re-heeling! We were out yesterday & spent a fair bit though so not spending much at all today.

When we get in, I have a couple of bits to finish for work - a broom to go with the Room on The Broom story props I've painted, and a crochet banana.

I don't think the girls will be fussed about doing much, but we'll see.

Tonight, I want to try the church part of my crochet village again. I can't get it quite the right size & it's annoying me - I'll try another hook size down.

No idea what's for tea yet, something out of the freezer most likely 🤷‍♀️

I've been to parkrun with DD this morning so ticked off my exercise for the day!! We've been carving her pumpkin since then.

We might pop out for a walk with DH if the rain holds off then maybe walk round the pub later for a few drinks.

Lazy afternoon here.

im living with my parents at the minute and Saturday morning is our ‘get shit done’ morning. So my mum has done the food shop, I’ve hoovered the house and cleaned the bathroom, my dad has baked and then cleaned the kitchen.

This afternoon I am mainly watching trash tv while browsing for Christmas presents online. I will take the dog for a rainy walk later.

Tonight is strictly and takeaway - living it large on Saturday night! (I used to be cool I promise…) 🤣

Still unwell here with this sodding virus. DH brought mum round so we could zoom call my brother in China for his birthday, then took her home again.
I have thrown porkbelly and beans etc in the slow cooker for dinner and gone back to bed. Will watch Strictly later. Am Christmas shopping on line.

Lazyish day here. I popped to town this morning to get dd’s new duvet and some birthday and Christmas presents. Now making Halloween cakes and biscuits, will carve pumpkins afterwards. Toad int’ hole for tea and footy on the telly. There may be wine.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who has been Christmas shopping! I picked up a couple of things to put away for the girls -their suggestion - and one of my presents. I was also talked into a third pumpkin, from the market...they're quite heavy to carry home!

The cobbler agrees that my boots won't last beyond this winter so I'm a bit gutted about that 😢 and now on the hunt for something equally comfy and long-lasting. He did re-heel them, glue a couple of places, and polish them though, so they're ok for the moment.

I'm just waiting for notification that my parcel's been delivered to the local One Stop, then off for that and a bottle of wine. Hopefully by the time the washer's finished 🤞 I'll wash the few pots there are and varnish spoon handles while I wait.

My sons currently teaching the baby to walk by showing her youtube videos of babies walking, not sure it works like that, but cute.

DP and I went to the gym this morning while DD’s carers were here. Had a bit of a swim in the outdoor pool and lolled around in the jacuzzi before getting lunch in the cafe.
This afternoon, DP did pumpkin carving with DD. She’s now chilling in her room, DP’s pottering upstairs and I’m reading the entire internet.

Probably just have something snacky
for supper - tortilla chips and guac is our traditional Saturday night fare - and watch something mindlessly soothing on telly. Old eps of Escape to the Country tend to hit the spot.

Went to the stables to do the horses. ExH picked up DS. Went to Spoons for breakfast (2 mins before they stopped serving it). Came home. Housework. Napped (haven't slept through the night in over 2 months). Dissertation. Scout planning.

Start of half term and we arrived in Turkey today.
it’s perfect weather for us at 27 degrees, the pools are a bit chilly though!

I’m lying on a beach in the Caribbean drinking a pina colada.

I've stayed in today. Sort of regret it a bit as I've ruminated a lot. Currently playing old video games with some friends.

done some weeding though grass could do with mowing but too wet done 4 loads of washing and put them out lovely sunny day here.
Dh been sanding the hall so then had to dust and hoover the whole bungalow can still see dust grrr
was contemplating starting to wrap xmas presents but didnt get that far!! did an online asda shop and sorted out my work diary.
Just ironing and dinner and lunches to do tomorrow now phew

Fir the first time in over 30 years me and Dh have been hung over. It's wasted a day but it was so worth it.
Fabulous night!

Went shopping with my mum - child free for the first time in 7 years!!

Really enjoyed it.

Sheep all sorted.....and the sun came out!

Managed to finally get my winter broad beans planted and the last of the squash picked and put into store in the shed.

Washing pile up to date and casserole done for tomorrow so I have a lovely lazy Sunday ahead of me 😊

Now sat watching the new kittens having zoomies round the kitchen with a large g&t!
