Bath restaurant recommendations please

I am planning a solo trip to Bath soon and having never been I am looking for restaurant recommendations. I am vegetarian, so although I'm not looking specifically for a vegetarian restaurant, I would like a good choice that does not include mushroom risotto or fake meat.

I'm not going to answer stroppy OP, but @HappyHolidai @GonnaGetGoingReturns I can vouch for the Scallop Shell being fabulous. Ate there a month ago and will be back in 10 days. Regularly features in "best fish /fish and chip restaurants in Britain" lists. The front of house guy really really knows his stuff and they are all passionate about the food.

OAK

Not sure if it's vegan or vegetarian sorry

Yak yeti yak is an amazing Nepalese restaurant with lots of veggie dishes - you can choose to eat on the floor or at a table!

For a quick lunch option check out chai walla - it’s an Indian street food stall of incredible quality.

For breakfast go for same same but different.

Check out the dark horse for cocktails

Noya's Kitchen you'll need to book ahead.

Bosco pizza is lovely too.

Carluccios and Loch Fyne have both been closed for around 2+ years and they were both chains anyway, not special to Bath

Indian Temptation is one of the best Vegetarian Indian restaurants. The guy who owns it used to work in Woodlands in London. It’s great food.

Oak which used to be Acorn is fancy veggie food. Menu sounds odd but tastes good.

Coconut Tree wouldn't be good as a solo diner. I went with a friend and it was full of large groups.

I like the Beckford Bottle Shop. Small plates rather than bigger meals but small and cosy with great service.

Loved the Beckford Bottle Shop when there in the summer. Lots of really interesting small plates and great wine!

Rooted is out of town but the best vegetarian food you will ever taste

I was at a work event in Bath a couple of weeks ago and the two places we ate that stood out were an amazing tapas (with added amazing cheese and bread) style lunch at the Beckford Bottle Shop and a fabulous dinner in one of the horseshoe shaped booths at the Architect restaurant.

There the other day were 3 women on their own

I can also add Indian Temptation indiantemptation.com/ . It looks a bit strange when you go through the door and up the stairs, but the food is good and ALL vegetarian.
