Double air fryers are sold out - everywhere

Septemberintherain · 25/10/2022 14:24

I love our little air fryer but it’s too small for our family and the knob has broken so I thought we would treat ourselves to a double one, like the Ninja or similar.
But they are sold out absolutely everywhere!
I have been looking for about 3 weeks and there is no sign of restocking anywhere.
Obviously, everyone has stocked up with the cost of living crisis.
Has anyone seen any for sale? Somewhere I may have missed?

CornishTiger · 29/10/2022 08:08

All these inflated costs will not be saving you money!!

Paris2023 · 29/10/2022 08:34

I just got one from Ninja using hot stock app an AF451UK not sure what’s the difference between that and the AF400UK?

Paris2023 · 29/10/2022 08:35

Oh £249.99 now wondering if it’s overpriced and to return it!

The AF 251 UK has a temperature probe.

So you can set it to finish cooking when the ‘cooked’ internal temperature is reached.

Ninja are getting them through. After being on their email when in stock list for a month, they emailed this week but the item was still showing as out of stock. So I called them and they put me on the back order list (because it became and option after the email was sent I gather). That was Wednesday. Mine will come today from Ninja Kitchen.

Paris2023 · 29/10/2022 08:52

Without the temp probe it’s £100 less at the Wessex appliances? I’m confused as to what’s best?

Helleofabore · 29/10/2022 09:10

It comes down to choice.

I don’t have time to come and keep checking stuff and want the easiest solution.

If I had more time, I wouldn’t have got this model. I would have just just gone for the other one.

WeAreTheHeroes · 29/10/2022 09:20

Buy second hand from Facebook Marketplace or eBay? You can get some bargains for this kind of thing where someone hasn't got on with an appliance and only used something a couple of times.

so you would have gone for the £150 one? Without the temp probe?

CoopersChase · 29/10/2022 09:36

At those prices you’d really only be buying it for longer term investment and speed of cooking I guess as it would take a lot of hours cooking to use £250 in energy?

Helleofabore · 29/10/2022 09:41

Yes. If I didn’t want the probe bit I would have gone with the other model.

mrsbyers · 29/10/2022 09:45

Yep I’m trying to find an instant pot vortex 7.6l

I would have been happy with the one without the probe but I'm also waiting for the probe one from QVC at the £179 price. I would say go for the larger size, rather than the smaller 300 version .
I wouldn't use Wessex appliances though, the prices are too good to be true and you know what that means.

Paris2023 · 29/10/2022 10:01

Yeah Wessex looks well dodge. Just bought the £249.99 with the probe from Ninja Kitchen yesterday

I literally ordered one Thursday from Ninja direct and it came on Monday!

Currently out of stock again. Every time I check they are.

Are you on their ‘email when in stock list’?

And when you get the email to say in stock, call them.

I don’t know about the hotstock app. I didn’t look into it. But posters upthread have obviously used it too.

woohoowoohoo · 29/10/2022 10:23

What about the AF300 one, it's smaller, we're only two but one veggie one meat eater - reckon it's big enough or go for the 400? Not worried about the probe!

GiantLegoHead · 29/10/2022 10:51

This is one of the Which? best buys and is in stock.

I’ve just finally found the instant pot vortex in stock and a bargain to boot £183.98 inc delivery on Ideal World TV website - they are £219 when in stock at Argos etc , paid with PayPal but the site seems legit and linked to their tv selling channel

Paris2023 · 29/10/2022 21:31

Yes took advice on the hot stock app! And downloaded and got it … so it does come into stock taken less than a week

Imabeleiver · 30/10/2022 22:17

I kept looking on argos website for a Ninja dual air fryer every morning at 6.30 and got one within a week. Picked it up yesterday. Its brilliant

woohoowoohoo · 02/11/2022 17:48

Thanks for the HotStock tip, finally got the larger foodi via the very website, really excited now, it's going to prompt me to clean and reorganise the kitchen !

LouiseGMumsnet · 14/11/2022 12:20

Hi @Septemberintherain Thanks for posting! If you're still searching, take a look at our best air fryers article. It was written using the recommendations of Mumsnet users and consumer reviews. There are a couple of double/2-in-1 air models on there that are currently in stock. Do let us know if the article has been useful.

Decafflatteplease · 14/11/2022 12:24

I'm also looking to upgrade from a single to a double but nowhere has any doubles so am just debating buying another single and running 2 at the same time. Even though it would be more expensive than running a double it's still cheaper and far quicker than our admittedly ancient, rubbish oven

God no, get the Ninja Foodi Health Grill. Plenty of space in there! I wouldn’t buy another drawer one, the dual fad is nuts
