Double air fryers are sold out - everywhere

Septemberintherain · 25/10/2022 14:24

I love our little air fryer but it’s too small for our family and the knob has broken so I thought we would treat ourselves to a double one, like the Ninja or similar.
But they are sold out absolutely everywhere!
I have been looking for about 3 weeks and there is no sign of restocking anywhere.
Obviously, everyone has stocked up with the cost of living crisis.
Has anyone seen any for sale? Somewhere I may have missed?

Honestly I prefer the non door type so I’ve got two the one with shelves pictured and a tefal easy fry and grill. I barely use the tefal now it’s relegated to chips only.

I ordered from QVC recently and it's currently on its way to me via Evri. I joined a Facebook group and got the heads up when it was going live on QVC. It's the new dual drawer one with probs and cost just under £180.

I'd suggest joining Facebook groups as that helped me!

Go into Argos and ask them to check their warehouse checker to see when they are coming in . I work for Argos and it tells us in green amber red and that means how likely there will be stock on a certain date coming in .
sadly the system doesn’t work for everything but should work for ninja products I imagine .

I literally ordered one Thursday from Ninja direct and it came on Monday!

OhhSugar, would you mind telling me if you had been on their 'email me when it comes into stock' list`?

I have been on the list for over a month and just got an email to say it was 'in stock' but it was not.

HamHand · 26/10/2022 16:16

Thanks so much for the hot stocks tip. I’ve been after one for months, downloaded it last night and got one this afternoon from Very. I had two notifications earlier, from Amazon and Curry’s, but wasn’t quick enough. Should be delivered tomorrow so fingers crossed

HamHand · 26/10/2022 16:17

@Helleofabore ive had the stock alert since august and it’s never messaged me

Helleofabore · 26/10/2022 16:22

interesting Ham. Email alert on ninja kitchen? which ninja?

Kerri9 · 26/10/2022 16:24

We got a ninja foodi max dual last week from eBay. Brand new we paid £300 so a little more than shops but as you said there isn’t any anywhere! Try eBay

HamHand · 26/10/2022 16:44

Yes from ninja themselves. The biggest dual one, which is the one I’ve just managed to grab. I think they simply sell so quickly there’s no time to send out the alerts. By the time I clicked onto the curry’s stock alert easier there were almost 2000 people in front of me and a 12 minute wait

Paying sixty pounds over the actual price isn't going to save the OP money though.

Kerri9 · 26/10/2022 17:25

It’s cheaper to use the air fryer than an oven so it will

Helleofabore · 26/10/2022 17:34

But you got it from Curry’s? Great.

So, I just contacted ninjakitchen again by phone this morning after my first post. (Same model as ohh sugar) I asked what happened as I clicked on the ‘it is back in stock’ email and followed the link within a very short time of getting the email.

They didn’t say why it was still out of stock (ie. Whether there was a stampede and I missed out or whatever). What they DID say is that there was now an option with my email address to ‘reserve’ / preorder one coming in soon. So I took that option. They said it usually becomes an option if stock is coming in soon.

Maybe our ninja drought will be over soon!

HamHand · 26/10/2022 17:46

That is good. I know several people who are after one too. I got mine from Very and I’ve already had the email confirming Royal Mail are bringing it tomorrow.

I’m now looking at counter top convection ovens!
This is an interesting read…
What's the Difference Between a Convection Oven and an Air Fryer?

I like the look of this!

Even better?

apps.apple.com/gb/app/hotstock-in-stock-alerts/id1257690900

This app helped me to find stock, I finally managed to get one today!

sanityisamyth · 28/10/2022 22:25

Bought a Ninja AF300 on Wednesday night and it arrived today. Was impressed at delivery and amazed at the lunch it Otto

karmaisacat · 29/10/2022 01:57

I have a Tower air fryer from Amazon. It doesn’t have drawers but it’s a good size and not a bad price.

auntiemabelisveryable · 29/10/2022 03:27

I decided to buy two single ones which can be used separately rather than a double.

It ended up cheaper and with a bigger cooking capacity although there's no doubt extra electricity if you use both.

Nat6999 · 29/10/2022 04:17

I got one last week direct from Ninja, I used the Hot Stock app.

MightyOaks · 29/10/2022 04:26

Just get a Halogen!

In the long run, maybe. But as £300 gets you around 900 kWh of electricity at the current capped rate, and an electric fan oven uses on average 0.8 kW per hour at 180C you could have the oven on for 3 hours a day every day for a year for £300…

picklemewalnuts · 29/10/2022 07:30

I just read the Convection oven or air fryer article- interesting.

Most UK ovens are convection ovens anyway I think. It's another name for Fan Oven from what I can tell.

I can't work out why the air fryer is so effective/efficient in comparison with the fan oven.

Anyway my main oven will be working hard today. Lamb shoulder (pressure cooked already), baked rice, a cake, flapjack and some roast veg. 'Twill be delicious!

Yabado · 29/10/2022 07:49

I bought a dual ninja last week on EBay for my son
I picked it up from the seller house as it was local Brand new in the box exactly the same as the one I bought from Ninja
Hes still selling them on EBay but they are expensive

My exact dual ninja was 179 less than a month ago
my sons was £260 last weel
The one he has for sale now is £289

I don’t think you will get one now unless your willing to pay £££
