Can’t seem to sleep tonight. No idea why. Anyone in a similar boat?

I'm up, can't sleep as have a streaming cold and woke up to sneeze.

Honestly best thing is to turn off your phone. I am going to read a book for a while. Night night.

I'm up. New baby. Been up for 2 hrs. The joy. Hoping he'll go to sleep soon. Best of it is I'll likely only get 2 hrs before I'm up again!

Me and I have a busy day tomorrow. Arrrrghhh

Yes- 8 year old has decided sleep is over rated. I can hear DH snoring away from the other side of the house so my bedroom isn't looking too appealing anyway!

Adult kids had a huge argument earlier. Both said terrible things to each other that they can't take back.

Both really upset. So am I. They were so hurtful to one another. I worry about them both.

Yes ... Been awake since I got into bed at 10pm because I have what I think is sinus pain....it won't stop throbbing and stinging and I haven't slept a wink. I've had an awful cold the last few days

Yep tonsillitis, and I'd managed to fall asleep but then DH came to bed and started snoring!

Me. Drunken upset texts from student DD in a nightclub far away from home. Not good for anxiety levels…

DH woke me up by shouting at me that I was snoring - I'm 27 weeks pregnant with sinusitis - he could have been a bit nicer about it. He's stormed off to sleep downstairs and I'm awake expecting toddler DD to wake up too.

Yes, awake after preschooler nighttime shenanigans. He came in to me at 2am so I returned him to own bed. At 3am he's still awake and starts crying. Needed a nappy change and tells me his leg hurts - I discover he has some painful nappy rash, like wtf? He hasn't had one of those in years.

Then he insists on new pyjamas and accompanying me downstairs to find them.
Then we have to change him with me kneeling (naked 🙈) on the cold laminate floor. Finally I get him up to his bed, hubby comes in asking if the noise is going to go on all night 🤬.

Preschooler tells me he wants his headphones to listen to a story and nearly has a meltdown when I say no. So I say yes to keep the peace, but now I have to stay awake until he's asleep so I can go in and remove them. Fml.

Yes, I'm awake all night as my Mum is in Hospice now and I'm so worried about her. She has advanced heart Failure and pulmonary fibrosis. She was talking to me on phone earlier and I noticed she was much more breathless ( on oxygen) and seemed confused which is out of character for her. I'm lying here thinking/worried about her , waiting for morning so I can go visit her.

I was at an all you can eat buffet earlier and have woke up with a dodgy tummy 🙃

Youngest son -18 - hit by a car earlier ao at the hospital waiting for surgery tomorrow. He's ok as such just broken bones but could have been so much worse.

Yep. Combination of having a cold and sleeping in a strange bed..

Woke a little bit ago as painkillers for TOTM had worn off. Waiting for them to kick back in and stop me wanting to pull my uterus out with a hanger.

LO chewed a piece of baby wipe and ate it before I could get it out of her mouth. Up googling the past two hours. Seems like a lot of babies have done it before, and the poison control online triage doesn't mention anything alarming. But I'm an overthinking FTM

Yes - combination of menopause induced insomnia, active Co-sleeping toddler starfish x2 and generally crap at sleeping on the best night. Don’t always resort to phone but, lying here listening to DTs breathing (and DH snoring), and know sleep is not coming my way any time soon so decided to browse MN for a bit.

Yup. Already shattered from a few nights with little sleep, busy day today and can't sleep. Off to make myself a cup of Peace tea in the hope of getting an hour dozing before I have to get up

Ds had a nightmare. He's 14, got a snotty cold, and it sounded like he was fighting off burglars.
Now he's fast asleep again and I'm not.

I have a small breed puppy. He’s less than a year and still occasionally needs to ‘go’ in the night, so I’ve just been stood in the cold, windy garden watching him poop.

I don’t have a particularly early or busy day though, so……….

Yes. Regular occurrence for me. It a pisser. At least I am.not st work this week,although I'm.lying here thinking of

I'm up as I am hosting three plays dates this week so thought I'd make a big deal with halloween decs for DC. Just finished and now I'm wired but absolutely chuffed with my spooky efforts 😄

Cat woke me up at 2am wanting to go outside. Don't really want him out at night for his own safety and to give the wildlife a break. He meowed for a further hour until he gave up and resettled. My night is over. Bastard cat.

Hey all, can I join you, I’m up. Brain in overdrive fretting about Dd11 who didn’t pass 11+ last year (but all her friends did), has started senior school but struggling to make new friends. She has a birthday coming and would love to do something for her to encourage new friends but money is so tight right now. Ugh, need to switch brain off and sleep. Good luck everyone, zzzzz for us all.
