"Protective, smart, adventurous, eccentric, generally calm but can be aggressive if provoked"

OP posts:
NightmareSlashDelightful · 21/10/2022 11:43

Sounds like a badly trained dog

OnTheBrinkOfChange · 21/10/2022 11:44

Oh my God no! What on earth makes them think anyone would want to go out with an aggressive person?

CryCeratops · 21/10/2022 11:44

“aggressive if provoked”?!?!

I’d view that as a red flag and avoid, personally.

SheWoreYellow · 21/10/2022 11:45

I’d swipe ‘no’, whichever way that is.

Whataretheodds · 21/10/2022 11:45

Hell no

SteveHarringtonsChestHair · 21/10/2022 11:46

God no!

SteveHarringtonsChestHair · 21/10/2022 11:47

Coupled with protective I imagine they think their “aggression” is totally justified. It’s not.

MsFrog · 21/10/2022 11:47

Definitely not!!!!

Eileen101 · 21/10/2022 11:48

Which way is no? I'd do that. Aggressive? No thanks.

VatofTea · 21/10/2022 11:51

self identifies as eccentric and aggressive - is this code for some weird fetish?

FlorettaB · 21/10/2022 11:53

They’d already lost me at eccentric …

Rainbowqueeen · 21/10/2022 11:53

No

Red flags are protective and aggressive if provoked.

SommerTen · 21/10/2022 11:53

Protective & aggressive- are they a staffie??

OneDayAtATimePlease · 21/10/2022 11:54

What they wrote...

"Protective, smart, adventurous, eccentric, generally calm but can be aggressive if provoked"

Who they are...

"Jealous control freak, hobbies cycling will always come first and will gaslight you with violent tendencies"

I thought OLD was full of deception. At least this one is honest.

JabberwockyPie · 21/10/2022 11:55

Aggressive if provoked? So they could say well you were warned when it goes wrong? No way.

KitchiHuritAngeni · 21/10/2022 11:55

Considering that people generally paint themselves in the best light they can on these things I would steer very clear of this person.

They would 100% get aggressive and then say you provoked them, and be controlling too.

FlorettaB · 21/10/2022 11:59

It does read a bit like a rescue’s description of a Yorkshire Terrier that needs a new home after their owner went into a care home.

stillvicarinatutu · 21/10/2022 12:21

I wouldn't like my dog if he had that dude's personality.

Aggressive if provoked?

I matched with someone who said women were a waste of skin

I took great pleasure in telling him to rethink his profile and unmatched!

AnApparitionQuipped · 21/10/2022 12:24

Eccentric is one of those descriptions that, if you use it about yourself, you probably aren't.

Idratherbepaddleboarding · 21/10/2022 12:26

fucking hell, I’d be swiping which lever way is no as fast as I could!

dontputitthere · 21/10/2022 12:27

If the best way to sell yourself to others is using the word aggressive that's a hard no

That's what he wants you to know about him. Imagine what he doesn't.

Squirrelvillage · 21/10/2022 12:27

Protective would be a no from me, any mention of aggression would have me running for the hills.

jtaeapa · 21/10/2022 12:28

Probably not

but it depends what’s meant by aggressive. If someone threatened my kids, I’d be aggressive.

GoSomewhereThatDoes · 21/10/2022 12:30

Protective means controlling. Eccentric means he wears a fedora and plays PC and larping games. Aggressive when provoked means he sees himself as some kind of knight in shining armour but can’t control his temper.

As others have said, if you had a dog with those traits, you’d do your best to train it out of them. You certainly don’t want it in a partner.

Awrite · 21/10/2022 12:33

Sounds like he watches Andrew Tait.

Swipe whichever way is fuck no.
