Would you rather be beautiful or highly intelligent? Lighthearted

I’ve always been considered good looking but I think my life would have been better if I was an intellectual. How about you? Or are you lucky enough to have both??

Highly intelligent. World is your oyster. And you never worry about losing it or have to work to have it still, unlike beauty. Most of the truly beautiful women I have known have seen it as a curse unless they were also very unintelligent.

Highly intelligent I think, but as with most things in life it's a question of extremes (are you saying highly intelligent but extremely ugly, or extremely beautiful but very dim/learning disabilities?) Life would be easier if you were beautiful, and you'd have a big peer group.

Beautiful probably. I wouldn't have to work as hard if I was beautiful, I'd just get a modelling deal on Instagram.

Intelligence is beautiful, and it means you are less vulnerable. Unfortunately beautiful people sometimes attract superficial people who value their appearance over their values or personal qualities. However having got a bit more attractive as I've got older, I've noticed just how much more nicer and popular I am. It's wrong.

I was very briefly beautiful for about a week when I was 18, and I’m ugly as sin now. My intelligence, such as it is, has kept me in work for 40 years. So intelligent, definitely.

My DDs are both, heaven knows where they get the beauty from. Their Dad is quite bright!

Well I would love to be either! I am probably more intelligent than I am beautiful, but folk seem to notice looks first.

They say "beauty fades but dumb is forever".

I was ugly at school and was tormented because of how I looked.
My face still wouldn't 'launch a thousand ships' (it might sink a couple of tug-boats !) but I've got brains and business acumen.
So I've always earned a good living and had financial independence via my own hard work.
It meant I was able to kick out my 1stH because he was a cheating louse and buy him out.
I've built up 3 successful businesses from scratch, bought myself 2 houses and I don't know how many cars.
Now I have a H who appreciates my independence and we have a good lifestyle.
I can laugh at those bullies from school now.

So, I'd go for brains every time.🙂

Does one always know if one is unintelligent? I've met quite a few people over the years who honestly thought they were smart - they weren't.

I have some of both.

when I was younger they worked against each other somehow.

ive only recently realised this was a function of being female.

good looking intelligent men can have their pick of girls / girlfriend when they want one.

My twenties was lots and lots of male attention but few / none that had the courage to be my boyfriend.

the possibility or fact that I’d outshine them in work or conversation seemed too much.

so lots of short passionate flings where I was then ghosted or dumped.

now I’m older my looks are somehow easier to handle now they’ve faded a bit tbh.

still see some of the previous flings around and they seem to regret not taking their Chance while they had it.

I’m pretty and clever in some ways, but not that smart. I’m excellent at my job but that’s not really the same as “intelligence”. I’d rather be beautiful honestly.

But there are a million beautiful Insta people. I wonder if they all get the same money?

I’m alright on both counts I reckon, just a bit short. I’d like to be nicer. I can be a monumental bitch.
