Is anybody here on Vinted?

I've only just discovered it and I'm in my element. As an avid charity shopper it is a dream come true 😂

Highlights for me have been my daughters Lelli Kelly high tops, almost brand new and sold to me at the bargain price of £8.

Maxamorra, Frugi, Mini Boden, DUNS Sweden bundles for my littler ones. So much lovely stuff that I'll be able to sell on again once they've grown out of it.

Does anybody else use it? Have you grabbed any good bargains you want to share?

Yep, Iove Vinted. I've just been having a good browse. Bought a nice new (to me) coat yesterday.
It's so much cheaper and easier than eBay!

sammielouise · 17/10/2022 20:00

Yes! Love it! Bought my wedding dress, veil, shoes and flower girl dresses on there! Done well selling on their too, if you
Price Things low enough. Grin

I too got a new (to me) coat on there, £12!

I love the personal touch to buying/selling that you don't tend to get on ebay, the people I've bought from have been so nice / helpful / friendly.

Team vinted forever 🙏

Oh wow amazing, congratulations!

I can't believe the value for money I see on there as opposed to the charity shops I usually frequent. One of the red ones cough BHF have really hoiked up the prices of even the most basic of brands, then you go on Vinted and see designer for almost pennies 🤯

Parkingmoan1 · 17/10/2022 20:04

It's so good. All our baby and maternity stuff came from there. Frugi sleepsuits for £2.50! It's epic. And selling is really easy and fun.

LiftyLift · 17/10/2022 20:06

Yes, love it. But having shipping issues just now with both Evri and Inpost. They lost a pair of DM boots I bought and I sold a £60 item which has been sat uncollected in a locker for over a week.

Reluctantadult · 17/10/2022 20:07

Yes I love it, great for my pocket and the environment. Get most things there now! Most recently I got Dd some patent boots for school new with tags £6. I went away with friends on Saturday dressed in head to toe vinted bargains and got lots of compliments. I think my skirt was a fiver and top £2.50!

Blahblablahblahblah · 17/10/2022 20:11

Love it!!!! But it’s very addictive!

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 17/10/2022 20:12

I’ve been selling loads of stuff on Vinted, and trying to build up my balance to buy a nice Barbour coat 🤞🏻

Ive had a much better experience than when I tried to sell clothes on eBay and half the parcels went ‘missing’.

Fuckitydoodah · 17/10/2022 20:18

I only recently got into it. I bought my 2 DC very good condition fat face winter coats for £8 and £13, and got myself a coatigan for work for about £5. It is a bit addictive. I tend to add stuff to my favourites and mull it over for a day or two. Need to remember that just because something is a bargain it doesn't mean I need it 😁

Emily29 · 17/10/2022 20:23

I love it!! Been buying lots of baby girl clothes which are in perfect condition!
Also bagged a mint velvet trench coat for £15!

Parkingmoan1 · 17/10/2022 20:24

I had a few issues with Evri in the past when buying online (this was before I discovered vinted) so my 'hack' now is to always send anything with Evri straight to my closest Evri parcel stop which is the little tesco extra down the road. Since doing that I haven't had any problems at all.

I agree it's addictive, I've bought so much stuff but figured it's OK because 1) it's stuff we need (kids grow so quickly) and 2) ill be reselling afterwards, albeit slightly cheapee, as its all good brands.

I'm shocked that somebody would leave a £60 item uncollected for a week!

I’m new to it have a load of baby and maternity clothes to sell - what makes it better than eBay? How about fb marketplace?

Parkingmoan1 · 17/10/2022 20:26

I've sent OH loads of links to things I like for the kids. Even he's interested and that man hates shopping 😁

its the personal touch for me, also the ease of browsing - its all set out so much better than ebay and you can find exactly what you're looking for with a couple of clicks whereas with ebay I always found myself doom scrolling for pages before finding anything I liked.

The buyers/sellers are generally really pleasant too. The people I've bought from always seem super happy to have your custom. I've never had that on ebay 😂

Oh I love it! DD loves a certain sport brand and I've bought her everything from her Xmas wish list from vinted for a fraction of the price, most of it new with tags. The sweater she wanted was £28 on the brand website but got it for £8 on vinted!!!!.

Love that!

Was it the north face by any chance? My DS loves that brand and I found him a really good condition tracksuit for £9 🙂

I agree, soooo addictive. Thankfully I'm addicted to selling aswell as buying so it seems to pretty much even itself out .

I find the sellers helpful and friendly, I bought some uniform for DC (3) for nursery and the seller threw in a couple of other good quality items she had found. I've done similar for people.

It’s in an Inpost locker so Evri have left it there over a week. Poor buyer is wondering what’s going on and I can only say I’ve posted it!

They might still turn up! A coat I bought turned up after a month with inpostShock

I found things just don't sell on eBay anymore. But they go so quickly on Vinted if you price them right. Granted unlikely you get more than a couple of pound for things, but you don't pay any fees as a seller which is a bonus! Grin

friskybivalves · 17/10/2022 20:48

Lots of scammers on there too. Beware. I've been done twice, and you have only two days to make a complaint or you lose your money. There is zero customer service on telephone - everything done through online messaging. I wouldn't buy any big ticket item <looking at you, bloody fake and non existent freaking Evisu jeans>.

stillvicarinatutu · 17/10/2022 20:52

I love it

I splurged this month but have also sold all my cruise dresses.

Got dune boots
Russel and Bromley boots
A beautiful wrap dress from next tailored range
Levi's
Jasper contain jeans
A leather bag
Uggs

Spent 50£ on all that and I'm made £45 this month on my sales .

It's like the worlds best charity shop ever !
