Couldn't see any posts about this so thought I would start one. Awful news today, I often think about her and her case. I really hope her family get some answers they have been so desperately wanting.

OP posts:

Yes. I read that and it brought it all back. So sad. Why do there have to be such monsters killing innocents?

PeekabooAtTheZoo · 12/10/2022 15:54

Absolutely tragic, that poor family.

foxlover47 · 12/10/2022 16:28

I hope to god this helps Leah's family , absolutely gutting seeing this news .
My daughters partner was best friends with Leah's brother , it ripped her entire family inside out :(
I'm so so sad for Leah , she was just walking to work
I hope she can finally rest in peace bless her heart

AlwaysGinPlease · 12/10/2022 17:06

Devastating. Those poor parents, to lose both their children. A young life snuffed put by some disgusting low life and another life lost because of it. Their lives ruined forever.

Interested to see how this came to light.

Eggsley · 12/10/2022 21:51

Such sad news today. I hope that her poor family are able to lay her to rest and are able to get answers as to what happened to her. It's very close to home and I think about her often. Just devastating.

cata09x · 13/10/2022 08:43

Absolutely heartbreaking. I really hope they find whoever did this and the family gets some closure. - everytime I'd drive through Milton Keynes id see the bill boards for Leah and i really had hope they would find her alive. So so sad.

The house was previously occupied by a sex offender but the dates of occupancy aren't given.

The police have reportedly said today that he was in prison at the time of Leah's disappearance.

Its so sad. My sister lives only a few streets away, and whenever I visited there were always posters up asking for info and reminding people that she was still missing.

HurtingHillary · 14/10/2022 01:20

The sex offender was in prison, 8 year sentence in 2017.

reportedly found by cleaners brought in by the property owners who live abroad and haven’t been in the uk since 2019 - covid.

was supposedly a summer home rental… anyone could have had the keys.

Bananasweetlady · 14/10/2022 03:56

Didn't know Leah or her family but followed the story of her going missing and her brother's tragic death. Very sad news today but I hope she can have a proper funeral and justice can be found for whoever did this to her. Her poor family.

Autumflower · 14/10/2022 04:22

I’d understood it was the sex offender ,but I guess not if he’ was in prison at the time

Anon778833 · 14/10/2022 05:49

I’ve been following this case. The police must have really dropped the ball on this one as they failed to investigate this house, even though they apparently did door to door enquiries in every other house on this street.

I hope they secure a conviction. I wonder if it had anything to do with the guy she had been dating whom her family were so sure knew something?

Did they drop a ball though? Surely house to house enquiries are just that, they speak to who is in, but they don't cross reference against census details or electoral role to make sure they speak to everyone who may live there. Maybe they do a couple,e of visits at different times to hopefully speak to the majority of people, I have no idea. But as it stands, they'd need a warrant to enter and search, and they'd need a reason for that warrant which they didn't have.

Statistically, it is most likely that any person killed, is killed by someone they know, so probably that man is suspect number one, and probably has been all along.

TheSpottedZebra · 14/10/2022 14:25

Bleak update. They've named a suspect- a convicted sex offender who killed himself 2 months after Leah went missing. He had been employed to do property maintenance on the house, and he was also wanted for another local attack where someone was assaulted in a nearby town centre.

TheSpottedZebra · 14/10/2022 14:27

^ Nb the suspect named is not the name of the alleged secret boyfriend. And there was no previous link known.

Anon778833 · 14/10/2022 14:51

That’s very sad news Sad no wonder Leah wasn’t found for so long. She had been left in an empty house where nobody would find her.

Discovereads · 14/10/2022 15:34

Poor girl. This is just so awful. I can only imagine how her parents are feeling.

MadeForThis · 14/10/2022 18:46

That's so tragic.

Motorcycleemptyness · 14/10/2022 19:06

I felt so sorry when I read this story. My heart goes out to her family who have suffered so much loss.

RIP Leah, you deserved so much better. 💐

SamanthaWilliams · 14/10/2022 19:14

Poor, poor Leah. Just walking to work. All because of some dickhead man who can’t control himself. Yes yes, not all men etc but it’s always a man isn’t it. Guaranteed the police aren’t looking for a woman here but it’s always unspoken. I’m so sick of it.

Louise12122012 · 14/10/2022 20:19

Just awful. Driving past one of The Find Leah Banners everyday on the school run. The Banner has now been taken done. My heart just goes out to this MK family.

Louise12122012 · 14/10/2022 20:21

Sorry - down - fat fingers

Discovereads · 15/10/2022 12:57

I’m so silly. Had a bit of a cry this morning as my 18yo is a bit like how Leah is described. I was reading past news articles and one had the missing poster from May which said:

Leah we are here for you whenever you are ready; we can listen, talk you through
what help you need, pass a message for you and help you to be safe.

Now we know she was murdered probably years ago. So terribly sad and awful. Parents & siblings absolute worst nightmare.

Babyroobs · 15/10/2022 12:59

This is just so sad. Thinking of the family.
