Well. I blame the ones who were allowed to vote for her. They clearly didn't watch the hustings

Interestingly (to me) my family members that voted Truss said straight up they wouldn't watch the hustings, they were basing their votes on the Telegraph reports of the hustings.

Family WhatsApp v quiet at the moment.

the80sweregreat · 14/10/2022 15:32

I watched most of the hustings.
She was terrible then and even worse now

Blossomtoes · 14/10/2022 15:33

My bloke’s quietly distraught. He voted for Sunak. “I knew it would be bad but not as bad as this. We need an election”. I’ve refrained from asking who he’d vote for.

My Dh is a conservative ( small c)
Even he is getting fed up with them all.
My siblings are still on board with them
You can't win them all.

I told my class during my last lesson that KK would be out within the next 15 minutes. 5 minutes later, he was gone...

Brilliant Grin

I was supporting a class this afternoon. Special education infant class so not quite the same politics involved but definitely a huge amount involved in some way shape or form Grin

Does she normally sound like she has a cold? I don't listen to her if I can help it.

I wondered that at PMQs on Wednesday but I see a poster says she does!

the80sweregreat · 14/10/2022 16:10

She needs a nasal wash

Pound is down, gilts are up. Markets not impressed with Truss.

And if that carries on come Monday, as is likely, she’ll surely be out the door too…

Blossomtoes · 14/10/2022 16:35

There’s a suggestion in The Guardian that No 10 is fitted with a revolving door. 😂

the80sweregreat · 14/10/2022 16:46

If it was a quiz show it would be ' blankety blank '
Along with the cheque book

Blossomtoes · 14/10/2022 18:36

The most sense I’ve seen in a very long time.

Beth Rigby on sky just now pointing to number 10
' it's chaos in there '
No change there then !

"As a public servant Mark Carney declines to offer a 'value judgement' on Brexit. He's happy to give a neutral valuation though: “Put it this way, in 2016 the British economy was 90 per cent the size of Germany’s. Now it is less than 70 per cent." Boom."

I agree with the article but I think we are still a long way off politicians accepting it.

Cornettoninja · 14/10/2022 19:53

I wonder if liz has even unpacked. Don’t think I’d bother…

I’m going to catch up on theweekintory - thanks @DuncinToffee

Probably not even had time to find someone to pay to replace the awful wallpaper the previous tenant put up.

the80sweregreat · 14/10/2022 19:59

No point unpacking is there ?
Only a few days worth is enough

Cornettoninja · 14/10/2022 19:59

I think they left bare walls @jgw1. Depressing.
