I fancy watching a film. I read the "films that stayd with you" that'd but seems none are on Netflix, or are gritty/depressing. I fancy something uplifting ir at least gripping, that I will keep watching. Netflix, amazon, usual iplayer etc. Thanks!

I came on to say this movie too.

Best final scene of a movie ever!

Pride is amazing. Got goosebumps just thinking about the end scenes.

I Used To Be Famous - newly out on Netflix and very uplifting

If you don’t mond light and fluffy then The Lost City (rent on Amazon) was really fun and left me giggling. Brad Pitt guests starsz too.

Lots of these movies are uplifting in the end but you first have to go through torture sadness and despair 😂

is that what you want OP?

I was thinking along the lines of Legally Blonde as being fun and uplifting without the sadness first

But the OP also said "gripping." To me, that means a bit of drama. I love Legally Blonde. In fact, I would say it's one of my top 10 favorite movies of all time, but I'm not sure I would call it gripping.

Pride
Hunt for the Wilderpeople
Untouchable (the original French one, not the shit American remake)

Coda, can’t believe I forgot about that one. It’s brilliant.

The Upside. Really feel good, I watched on prime.
The Odd Couple I think it's called. Steve Coogan and Paul Rudd. Funny and touching. I think I watched on netflix.
Muriels Wedding. I think Toni Collette is amazing in everything she does tbh.
