I'm 45 and suddenly have a massive appetite for sex!

In my 20's I wasn't bothered about sex, went months without it and didn't think about it. in my 30s I had young kids and wasn't interested either. Suddenly I want to have sex every day! What's going on?? Same old relationship for twenty years, he's very happy about the situation, but I'm actually worried I might have an affair or something.

I fancy everyone! Including women. Anyone else? And why is this happening?

Make the most of it - this happened to me when I first stopped HRT. It was brilliant for me, but DH was starting to wear out. Then it stopped suddenly and I have no enthusiasm at all for sex. I like it when it happens but I'd rather have a cup of tea and read a book.

since I was 45 I’m now almost 50 I’ve watched porn more. I hate that i do but when I’m “in the mood” I need something pre than just dh. I’m hoping this stops because I hate how crap I feel the next day

The fancying everyone … probably not. You just won’t have the energy or inclination to do anything about it 😅

I literally asked myself this too! Totally peri hormone related. I was a lust filled Betty for a good year or two.

I honestly think peri is the reason I've been fighting a ridiculous work crush for the last few months! It was like my brain (and other parts of me...) had been taken over, literally overnight.

Not necessarily. I had the peri surge, then a quietening but the other symptoms of menopause (especially insomnia) meant I'm a good candidate for HRT and it's good

But the horn is back
