In my 20's I wasn't bothered about sex, went months without it and didn't think about it. in my 30s I had young kids and wasn't interested either. Suddenly I want to have sex every day! What's going on?? Same old relationship for twenty years, he's very happy about the situation, but I'm actually worried I might have an affair or something.

I so agree with this and I started fancying most people when I was 45 too. It was as if my ovaries/uterus were desperate for one last pregnancy. Dh thought it was fantastic.

I am similar age to you. Throughout life l have been what positive people would consider highly sexed and negative people would call promiscuous.

But the desire has got stronger and causes butterflies and a little throb. My (admittedly non-scientific) theory is that the body now thinks it’s play time. Enjoy for what it’s worth and enjoy.
