6 or 7 bags of washing?

I've been really depressed lately and just am overwhelmed. I've just bagged and sorted everything and there is 6 large bags of washing.

I feel like I'm going to be judged

No one is going to bay an eyelid! Just get on with your day and think about how good smug your going to feel when you get home and it's all done 😀

Thanks everyone. Made it. And raided DPs change tub.

But shaky as I forget the washing powder and had to ask taxi driver to go back and he wasnt happy but am here now.

Going to go get a hot choc from cafe round corner and read my book.

Sounds silly but thanks for the support. I probably just would have stayed home without it, genuinely.

Well done.

Wouldn't bother me (unless you use every single machine in the place!)
Don't be too hard on yourself

It wouldn’t even enter my head as an issue, let alone a cause of judgement.

I'm so bloody impressed that you did it. I know the feeling of being overwhelmed. Well done lovely. And, love the boots!

Take a good book or a couple of magazines and a brew and enjoy the downtime!

I'm almost envious of your laundry time.

Ah you've already been! Didn't get to p3!

Good on you! Still envious

We didn't have a washing machine in our flat as the kitchen was too small. Saturday morning (early) was DHs trip to the laundrette while I had a lie in. He even took the girls when they were toddlers.

BasiliskStare · 27/09/2022 16:45

I had to do this in the past - the white noise and the book I did rather like it. But all launderettes near me have closed down so I did take a load in from a young couple next door once as they had been working and just didn't have the time to get the bus before launderette closed.

Always4Brenner · 27/09/2022 16:48

We have a laundry room at new home bit funny about it (that’s just me though) I’ve been used to my own washer but I’ll get there smalls hand washing though bras I do anyway so won’t kill me knickers either. It will seem strange though but I’ll take a drink and my shopping can trolley can take the load must by a laundry sack a cotton one I can wash too.

Ghibli museum definitely on the list one day…one day

Cheeselog · 27/09/2022 17:03

Not at all. Laundrette machines are bigger than domestic ones so it makes sense to take a big amount, if nothing else.
Near me there are two launderettes, one traditional one and one which is actually just some machines in a little shelter outside a petrol station (it’s nicer than that makes it sound) with no attendant, benches etc it’s just card operated and come back later. If you are feeling self conscious could you see if there is one like that near you?

Go for it. I'm sure our ironing lady dies judge us 45 shirts later (she's being paid of course!) dp gets behind and owns a lot of shirts, I don't do ironing
