Illness going about

Muddlebubble · 24/09/2022 10:13

Hey, just woundering if anyone has this illness?

Full bodyaches, shivering and cold then boiling and sweating buckets.
Horrific headache and god awful diarrhea.

My husband and kids have a cold/cough/sore throat virus but i dont have either a cough, cold, sore throat.

My whole body feels like its bruised and awful stomach pains.

None of us have covid, we have all tested many times as i was adamant mine was as the body aches are exactly the same.

rockyg · 24/09/2022 16:19

Me, hence why i've spent all day on MNs 🥲

Wetcappuccino · 24/09/2022 16:33

i have heard anecdotally that there are lots of bugs going around. COVID rates are also high again. LFTs don’t always pick it up. Could very well be that. Hope you feel better soon.

Yep! In currently on day 16 of it and feel like I've been ran over by a bus. Horrific!

containsnuts · 24/09/2022 16:41

One of my DCs had cold type symptoms and fever but weirdly complained about pain in the back of the neck which they've never done before. Then I start with exactly the same thing - this intense, sore, stiff neck for more than a week which I've never had before in 40+ years of having viruses. Strange.

Muddlebubble · 24/09/2022 19:07

It's horrendous, shivers are in full swing again, slept most of the day apart from toilet trips to empy my bowels which is so painfull.. the cramps.

Feel very dizzy and floaty and spent the last half an hour crying

We have all tested every day all negative, we all covid about 6ish weeks ago i must say that was a walk in the park compared to this.

So sorry you all feel rough too

Every member of my family except me has a vomiting bug atm. I'm just waiting for it to hit me! There's a lot going round atm as well as covid. Hope you feel better soon!

FatAgainItsLettuceTime · 24/09/2022 19:19

We're in the 'return to school' germapalooza. They went back first week of September and all the kids have either a cold, a sickness bug or a chest infection. The playground each morning is full of tired looking parents and coughing, snotty nosed kids.

Muddlebubble · 24/09/2022 21:23

Ugh it's awful.

Luckliy my kids and husband skipped the tummy bug bit, god knows where i got it from. I wish these awful cramps would go away.

This is me too. Normally I just carry on but ended up in bed.not COVID. Something doing the rounds. Hope to feel better tomorrow.

Mercedesbenz2022 · 24/09/2022 21:39

Yes I gave this too , and feel
like I’ve been kicked in the ribs ,

I tested positive for covid on tue but negative today

had the horrific headache and diarrhoea, generally feel awful

had this for 13 days , just awful

Kfjsjdbd · 24/09/2022 21:51

Last week I woke up and was sick. Then had a horrendous sore throat, headache, sweating loads and achey all over for 3 days. Then it was gone. I didn’t test for covid but imagine it probably was that.

Arabiannights01 · 24/09/2022 22:01

omg same - I’m on day two of it. I also have a throat that feels like razor blades. Tested for Covid and was negative. What the hell is it?

SunshineAndSummer · 24/09/2022 22:03

Especially now children have started school, illnesses are spreading! All my nieces and newphews got sick and passed it onto the adults.

Headblown · 24/09/2022 22:03

@containsnuts sore neck can be a sign of meningitis, please get checked out x

Perpop · 24/09/2022 22:04

I had the same, doctor said glandular fever?

Jules912 · 24/09/2022 22:09

I had this courtesy of DD, awful stomach cramps but only vomited once. Plus sweats/shivers and general cold symptoms. Perked up after a couple of days but appetite still not normal.
Was worse than the Covid I had three weeks ago.

WonderingWanda · 24/09/2022 22:13

The aches, shivering and diarrhea sound like notovirus to me.

GlamGiraffe · 24/09/2022 22:16

Yep. In London. The aches and pains are treally not nice. Hopefully you will feel better soon.

Monkeywithaminiaturesymbol · 24/09/2022 22:18

I think just the plague on my house might be something akin to norovirus unfortunately. One had it overnight on Wednesday night and the others all got it in the night, dh included, so I got no sleep and was up washing sheets and putting children in the bath in the middle of the night. Hate this time of year for bugs. I've spent today bleaching everything I realistically can.

Monkeywithaminiaturesymbol · 24/09/2022 22:19

"I think the plague on my house..."

No idea where the rogue "just" came from

ShirleyJackson · 24/09/2022 22:20

Yep, we had it. Started about two weeks ago, still not fully ok. Napped for about two hours this afternoon.

Blossomandbee · 24/09/2022 22:24

Yes me, DH and all 3 DC have had this in varying levels over the last 2-3 weeks. It's wiped us all out. Lots of others have the same it seems!

EllaPaella · 24/09/2022 23:06

DH had this last week. Tested negative for first two days then strongly positive on day three. Loads of people at work are off with similar and it's doing the rounds in the kids schools. The lurgy always goes around in September when the kids go back.

EllaPaella · 24/09/2022 23:06

For covid I mean obvs
