Adding to current tattoo next week

See below had flower tattoo a while ago I have drawn petal on to see what it would look like. Do I get one petal as I have drawn or get two petals what looks best

OK for a 60's vibe how about adding some more flowers around it, small ones, tiny ones, maybe one with the peace sign inside it etc

Yeah I agree the leaf design you want really does not fit with the minimalist/simplistic design of the flower. It would look really odd.

I would go with a simple line drawing much like @Ccoffee has done above.

I'm with other PPs, I thought that was a cog or a wheel rather than a flower.

I get that your person just copied a design, but that honestly looks like something done by an amateur - it's not just the design, it's the execution.

I love tattoos and have several friends who are tat artists, but that's just really shoddy and I wouldn't want something like that on a very visible part of my body.

I thought it was a cog, didn’t realise it was supposed to be a flower. To be honest both the tattoos you have look as though they have been drawn on with a felt tip pen, I would seriously save up and find a better tattoo artist to do a decent cover up.

Is your tattoo artist capable of that? The outline of that leaf looks quite fine and your flower is quite thick.

I'm only saying this as not all tattoo artist can do fine line tattooing.

They were not done with felt tip pen he has been doing tattoos for 25 years. I have 13 others that he has done too I love them all. Not very helpful comments on here

Honestly OP, I know tattoos are very personal to each person but I would consider a different tattoo artist, mine isn’t perfect but the flower isn’t great. I’m sorry!

Why? You said you liked the flower.

It'd still have to be quite a thick design to cover up the thick flower and may be quite big.

It's your body your choice and I'm not being mean if you feel it comes across that way but your other tattoo is also quite thick so I'd say your tattoo artist probably isn't one for fine lines which is fine now as you want the black butterfly.

I actual. like it and think it's different to all the 'soft' style tattoos.
If it is this design I don't think I'd put leaves on it but maybe have a surround sort of thing?
I have seen that you are changing it now,I hope that isn't because of other peoples taste?

I can't help with what to add to it but just wanted to say if you like it, that's the main thing. Don't get it covered up because of others opinions, you might regret it
