I have put away my summer pjs and got out my winter ones. They are a random selection of pretty , boring , non matching , expensive and cheap. I rarely have any that match as I get hot at night and most winter pjs are long sleeve and I would die wearing those. So I only buy the bottoms.
I also have random selection of tops and bottoms for lounge wear.

are there proper grown ups who have all matching and beautiful.

I have pyjama shorts with coordinating T-shirts. They don’t match match but they’re presentable enough.

Mine match, that's how I like them to be. Why can't you buy tops to match the bottoms? It's only a t-shirt or a vest

I think I have one matching pair. I don't usually wear it together though. Mostly I have pyjama shorts, or thicker longer length ones, and then I pinch DP's tshirts to wear on top.

Mine match. I only have 3 pairs tho so not difficult.
DS1 is miss matched, as he doesn't care.
DS2 only wears the bottoms so the tops go, brand new, to the charity shop.
DH wears a random selection of his oldest clothes.

Bit of both. In an ideal world, I’d like short bottoms with long sleeved tops but most pj sets are either all long or long bottoms with a t shirt! I have some all long sets for when it’s really cold and all shorts sets for when it’s hot. When it’s in between, I have to mix it up.

@Watto1 i have this problem. I would love nice thick bottoms and thin short sleeve tops. But the winter ones always have long arms.

I don’t buy pyjama tops, I just retire t shirts from daytime wear if they get shapeless or holey or generally disreputable.
I wear them with pyjama trousers. They don’t match, but I try to co-ordinate a bit.

I wear pyjama bottoms and whatever vest top I pull out of the drawer.

I knew my MIL was a good one when she bought me two pairs of bottoms for Xmas instead of the sets everyone else buys me.

Like you, I hate the heavy long-sleeved matching tops so try to buy just the bottoms, or wear random T-shirts instead of the matching tops.

I'm sure I looked very stylish in hospital after recent surgery wearing my Smurf T-shirt and tartan pyjama bottoms. Hmm.

All of mine match but I buy mix and match sets so that I can have long pants with a short sleeved top (ASOS, primark and Tesco generally).

My normal PJs are old T shirts that are too big/ a bit misshaped and old gym pants. My ones when people stay over are beautiful matching m and s ones (my gran still buys me a pair every Christmas). Only DH and the postman know the truth.

I don’t own pyjamas full stop! Not one single pair/half pair 😂
I sleep naked, knickers and an old tshirt of dh’s when it’s totally freezing.
can’t stand wearing clothes in bed, I just get tangled up because I move about so much in my sleep!

All of mine match something in the drawer!

I've had matching sets but often find the tops too hot so have a drawer full of bottoms and use random old t shirts to go with them.
Might make more of an effort if I stay away with people though.
Also find it a pain to find cotton pj's, primarks big selling point is there nightwear is made from recycled materials, who wants to sleep in plastic?

Yeah, pyjamas, socks and underwear are always matching

I only own one pair, they do match but I keep them for situations where you need them, I don't wear them at home

I decided to go for a grey and navy theme for my pjs, so I can buy separate tops and bottoms as long as they're some sort of grey or navy. This means that I can wear any combo and they always match!
