DD fast asleep after a lovely day looking at Christmas decorations at a local garden centre with a friend and her DS, DP at his home with his DD, DDog curled up next to me adorning my snack stash (of which he unfortunately cannot have any of) and I'm in bed, at 7pm, alone, with cake and chocolate. I feel absolutely content and ready for a big day out at the zoo tomorrow with DD, DP and DP's DD.

Wild or not, what are you up to tonight?

Flopisfatteningbingforchristmas · 16/09/2022 19:15

Going to sleep as soon as the kids are asleep. It’s been a long week.

IpanemaChic · 16/09/2022 19:16

Glass of wine and watch Stranger Things with teen dd Wine. I do feel knackered though, feels like a long week…

BusySittingDown · 16/09/2022 19:16

Watching Gilmore Girls with snacks and Prosecco.

Strangerthings4NW · 16/09/2022 19:17

I’ve been working a very physical job all week and o have to work tomorrow so I am in bed watching movies and eating chocolate. Kids are at concerts with their friends so I am making the most of a quiet house.

mrsfollowill · 16/09/2022 19:18

Oh you look very cosy! We (DH DS and me) are waiting for a pizza delivery at 7.30- I have wine, DH has vodka and coke. It been a long week at work for all of us. It's cold here and the heating has just come on and we are wearing jumpers! DS is 20, shattered from work and in his hoody.
Food, drinks, hot bath and bed with no alarm set - rock and roll- when DH and I were early 20's we'd be in the pub straight from work on a Friday - not these days Grin

KingOfWishfulThinkin · 16/09/2022 19:21

Seems like a cosy one all round so far! Feeling very autumnal here which I'm living for, even enjoying the crisper weather too Grin

Who is your crush @Always4Brenner ? What movie?

SpottyStripyDuvet · 16/09/2022 19:24

Waiting for the plumber to return with a length of pipe so the water can go back on. Once that is sorted I will wrestle DS into bed and RELAX! DH is out with his mum tonight so I intend to drink cider and eat pringles in peace.

7Worfs · 16/09/2022 19:28

In bed, breastfeeding my newborn and browsing MN.
DH did bedtime with the 3-year old and is now relaxing downstairs eating chocolate and waiting for his raid to start, the lucky bastard! It’ll be a long while until I have evenings to myself again.

PaperwhiteTheGhost · 16/09/2022 19:29

I've just done 4 night shifts so I'm not up to much. DP has gone to see the Queen in state with his mum and sister. Not my thing, so I've just had a "big shower" (hair wash and mask, shave, exfoliate etc) and now I'm in loungies on the sofa with a big red wine. I estimate I'll last till approximately 9.30 before I'm in bed.

Rock on.

I did change the sheets this afternoon though, so that's nice.

Me too! I was a bit down about the end of summer last week, but this week I'm 100% here for autumn 🍂

Twattergy · 16/09/2022 19:32

Drank a bit of wine whilst DH and DS cooked a very tasty Gusto. Now on sofa with dog and DS while he does half an hour of video gaming. Pretty relaxed and cosy.

Me three! I've been gutted about the end of summer. I've enjoyed the hot weather but now I'm looking forward to autumn and Christmas. We're moving soon and I can't wait to be in my lovely new house for Christmas.

Violashift · 16/09/2022 19:33

Watching TV on the sofa with my cats. Oh upstairs on the computer will be down later. Making mushroom burgers. Wishing I had prosecco.

Dd is having a sleepover here with 2 mates. They will be in at 8.

BruhWhy · 16/09/2022 19:33

It's cold this evening (relatively anyway, given the mid-twenties we've been having the last few weeks) and I'm enjoying it so much. I've whacked out my slipper boots and am drinking tea from my pumpkin mug and it's absolute bliss.

When the kids go to bed I'm going to watch The Handmaid's Tale with the cat on my lap.

🤙🏻 Rock and roll baby.

Uptowntwirl · 16/09/2022 19:33

Watching the floor is lava with DH and our kids. Hopefully get to bed soon. It's been a long week 😂

UWhatNow · 16/09/2022 19:33

Thanks for this thread op. Lovely to hear so many people chilling out and snuggled up enjoying Friday night in a relaxed way! Cheers! 🍷

I wonder if it's a reflection that less people go out or if it's just that we are all getting older 😂

LittleLangdale · 16/09/2022 19:37

DH is working nights. 2 year old is in bed and hasn't been down in 20 minutes so hopefully that's him down for the night. Feeding 6 month old DD then hoping she'll do the same.

Then I'm going to cook and watch bake off before collapsing into bed. No doubt I'll be up at least twice overnight.

Summersummersun · 16/09/2022 19:37

I’m in bed with a sickness bug, had nausea and D yesterday, and nausea, D and V today 😩

My third one in a year, I don’t know how I keep getting them (well I catch them from one of my germy family, DH this time but he escapes with just nausea generally).

Very jealous of all your lovely cosy Friday nights. My illnesses always fall on a weekend!

KingOfWishfulThinkin · 16/09/2022 19:37

@7Worfs I feel you. I BF DD until she was 18 months and I was absolutely done, but now she's just shy of 3 and I do miss those days of cluster feeding and just staring at her little face. It goes by quick

@PaperwhiteTheGhost love the phrase 'big shower', I know exactly what you mean and I'll be adopting that one please!

@UWhatNow I wonder if it's the change in weather/season? Whatever it is, I'm ready for it!

Ds1 & 2 are at work together, so Ds1 can bring ds2 home. So ds3 is on Minecraft and I am having a Friday night gin, which is very rare for me, but it’s been a hell of a work week. Later I will write a meal plan and do the online Tesco sho, which is less glam.

Both! 😂 Although my dds who are young women like nothing more than getting in their pjs when they get home from work too!

It does make a difference now the weather has turned colder I think.

mrsfollowill · 16/09/2022 19:56

@PaperwhiteTheGhost I'm jealous you have clean sheets as well- wishing I had done the bedding today instead of tomorrow!
