Why is no one on here talking about that Prince Andrew video?

Or have I missed it? Maybe it’s being discussed in code to prevent the thread from being axed?

the one of him and Eugenie looking at the flowers and tributes - looks like it’s from the Aussie 7news channel…

No-one with half a brain thinks slowmo action scenario takes longer than it does. Does anyone say that about World Cup goals? The purpose of slowmo is to see action that happened too fast in real time for the eye to catch.

In this case it turns a continuous moment when he crouches down and moves his arm into something lingering.

IrisVersicolor · 13/09/2022 09:26

PAFMO · 13/09/2022 08:25

Why do you think the second video has been blurred?
You'd imagine, wouldn't you, if people had actually got a video of PA doing what's being insinuated, they wouldn't blur out the actual action, but take pains to show it fully, and clearly.
Unless of course...
And thankfully, the unblurred video also exists.

Because that’s what happens when you slow film down - there are missing frames between the original frames. Fast subjects or big speed reductions result in bigger movements between the missing frames so the action appears jerky and blurred.

IrisVersicolor · 13/09/2022 09:27

To get really good slowmo video you need 120fps.

For all those on here who think Andrew assaulted his daughter in that clip I hope you are reporting it to the police then, but something tells me that you won't.

sidewayswalking · 13/09/2022 08:42

These are the same video but the slow mo one looks bad, because it's slow mo.

The top video you can clearly see when he gets his hand to the bottom of her jacket his fingers turn in slightly before he moves his hand.

I am stunned at the amount of people defending his behaviour. It's true what they say about hiding in plain sight, isn't it? So many of you can't see it when it's right there in front of you.

This is why Jimmy Saville got away with groping teenagers in public. There is footage of him on TV several times touching up teenage girls and you can see them moving away from him.
But many people think nobody would do this in public when being filmed. They do not realise part of the thrill for men like this is doing it in plain sight and getting away with it.

Mamamia7962 · 13/09/2022 09:36

Eugenie didn't move away from him, I'm sure there would have been a reaction from her if what people are claiming actually happened.

The law does not apply to the Royal Family. I am surprised you have not yet realised that.

Scraping the barrel now @antelopevalley.

Mamamia7962 · 13/09/2022 09:46

Antelopevalley - Yeah, because really you know that he didn't actually do anything. That slow motion clip has been doctored, just look at the thumb, it practically disappears.

PAFMO · 12/09/2022 22:03

Ain't that the truth.
I saw it live too. She was clearly upset, he hugged her, she hugged him.
Anybody inventing anything else is the sicko round here.

Hear hear.

RichardOsmansXraySpecs · 13/09/2022 09:54

What a load of old tosh.
He bent down and his arm was left there albeit in an awkward position.
Nothing to see here.

Neither am I PA's biggest fan but I really can't see what he did wrong here. If that is sexual assault according to many on here then it really shows too much is classified as that. The biden clips were much worse.

I read somewhere, can't remember where as it was before he was elected, that those clips of Biden are so short because they look bad out of context and that they were children/young women he knows well and some are family and him kissing them was normal. Apparently if you see them in context they look fine.

Don't know but I've got to the point where if I don't see it live with my own eyes I really don't know. I'd hate to do jury service.

ShepherdMoons · 12/09/2022 23:15

do you ever wonder why you're defending such a sleazy, evil man?

This is such an interesting post. It's well proven that people unconsciously tend to believe things more readily if they fit with their pre-conceived ideas about the world. Something that seems new in recent years is that people now do this consciously, or almost consciously- there's a new willingness to profess and believe that something is true just because it tends to fit with the speaker's world view, even if the evidence of their eyes contradicts it. It's why fake news has such a hold on the world.

Here a poster implies that anyone saying what they can actually see (no assault) must be attesting to a particular world view (support for Andrew). No space at all for the idea that Andrew could be a sleazy evil man and not have assaulted his daughter in front of the world's press. No wonder the world is in a mess.

goldenlilliesdaffodillies · 13/09/2022 10:05

I watched it live and re-watched it again just now. It is just a grieving father comforting his grieving daughter. This thread is really disrespectful and inappropriate.

antelopevalley · 13/09/2022 09:42

in all the stuff raked up about Andrew over the past few years, it's amazing that no one came up with stories and videos of him silting his daughters in public given that's clearly the sort of thing he does regularly.

SoupDragon · 13/09/2022 10:09

silting = assaulting

What appalling ignorance. You clearly know nothing about power, abuse, or trauma. This is in the same vein of "why didn't she leave him".

antelopevalley · 13/09/2022 09:42

This. The number of times I just stood there while being groped because wtf else was I meant to do? Especially at the funeral- what, was I going to scream and cry and make a fuss there, when the focus was my late uncle? I just stood there. Because no one was going to believe it anyway, he must have done it accidentally, and I’d just be being dramatic again.

TastesLikeFlavourlessFizz · 13/09/2022 10:32

cactusjackie · 12/09/2022 22:19

All this talk of him 'fingering her arse' is really disgusting and uncomfortable. It's definitely not a true reflection of what happened in that video. His hand brushed her arse as he bent down to the floor. Unfortunate yes, abuse no.

The man is a slimeball but this is nothing. And I can't imagine it's very pleasant for the princess to see all this tripe online about her dad apparently assaulting her while she's mourning her gran.

That's my take too. Even if he was one to do that, OF COURSE he wouldn't do it in public with the world's eyes on him. It was an innocent blunder when he bent down. Come on.

And yes, creepy Joe's handsy activity - and hair smelling - is well documented.

antelopevalley · 13/09/2022 10:36

You do not understand that for sexual abusers they get a thrill out of doing stuff in public and getting away with it. This is well documented.

they rely on the ‘surely not!’ reaction.

Exactly this.
