Where to buy 100% cotton duvet covers suitable for 18yo boy?

I need a couple of duvet covers for my son who is going off to uni. Ideally I want 100% cotton (as he has eczema) and not too pricey. The M&S ones are a bit uncool for an 18yo boy. I'm trawling a few other sites, but any recommendations of where to look would be appreciated!

Dunelm have some nice ones more suited to his age. I saw a grey/black/white striped one there not long ago which was 100% cotton.

Eastangular2000 · 11/09/2022 20:24

It’s a duvet cover. Just get a plain colour like navy or olive green

carefullycourageous · 11/09/2022 20:25

I would go with plain colours so I'm sending you back to M&S for those!

Asda do nice plain coloured cotton duvet sets.

Ritasueandbobtoo9 · 11/09/2022 20:29

Dun Elm do Egyptian cotton bedding. It is lovely and remains cool so probably good for Excema plus you can boil wash it which is also good for excema.

Raera · 11/09/2022 20:31

Choose a dark colour, students don't do much washing!

John Lewis? Sainsburys? I'd just get a plain cover. Not really sure what an 18 year old would consider a 'cool duvet cover'

rizeabuv · 11/09/2022 20:40

Plain would be fine if I could get one.
John Lewis only does kids bedding in 100% cotton - Minecraft/Playstation etc - so no good. 🙄
The Sainsbury's/Argos covers are 50% polyester.

I'll check out Dunelm next ...

La redoute. But wait for a sale.

SkygardenTower · 11/09/2022 20:53

thenightsky · 11/09/2022 20:53

Snowiscold · 11/09/2022 20:54

IKEA has lots.

HighlandCowbag · 11/09/2022 20:54

Next do an Egyptian cotton range, Ive got an Olive one on my bed, or a greeny one anyway possibly sage? And ds has a navy one.

sunglassesonthetable · 11/09/2022 20:59

H&M are great! And Dunelm and Next do good plain colour ones.

CurlsLDN · 11/09/2022 20:59

Another vote for IKEA, I only buy from them now, they are lovely, lots of 100% cotton.

Would his skin tolerate lyocell? It's another plant fibre, IKEA do some in that and it feels amazing, really crisp and cool.

ManxRhyme · 11/09/2022 21:05

Ikea again. Really well priced for cotton bedding.

SilverGlassHare · 11/09/2022 21:05

I think you need to look again at John Lewis: Plain cotton bedding

Sluj · 11/09/2022 21:12

He's 18, he should have an adult duvet cover. Maybe avoid flowers but there are plenty of plain ones or ones with stripes/ geometric patterns

Asda do nice plain coloured cotton duvet sets.

Thanks for the Asda suggestion..They had a bedding set that was 30% Tencel/100% cotton which is good for Eczema, and it was in the sale too!
