Where to buy 100% cotton duvet covers suitable for 18yo boy?

I need a couple of duvet covers for my son who is going off to uni. Ideally I want 100% cotton (as he has eczema) and not too pricey. The M&S ones are a bit uncool for an 18yo boy. I'm trawling a few other sites, but any recommendations of where to look would be appreciated!

Only someone who has never washed the sheets of a teenage boy would suggest dark colours. The stains are vile.

I mean he will be at uni so dealing with it himself but urgh.

I think you need to look again at John Lewis: Plain cotton bedding

At £50, that one was filtered out by my price range settings. 🙂

Yup, that's what I thought too.😁

Amazon Basics, 100% Cotton, Dark Red, Double with Two Pillowcases amzn.eu/d/3bdzH6Q

From experience, I wouldn’t get a dark colour for an 18 year old boy. I thought the same and got navy. Not good. Get a lighter colour. Dark colours show the things your mother doesn’t want to see (soz.. 🥴).

And IKEA do very cheap 100% (not Egyptian) cotton. Stripes can help.

Fluffygreenslippers · 11/09/2022 21:31

Matalan had some nice cotton sets in recently.

I agree. And I doubt he'd be washing them as frequently as he'd be staining them. Save him from the shame and consider the camouflage aspect 🤣

Are you anywhere near a Boundary outlet? Fantastic bargains on brands like Bedeck, Christy, Scion, Belledorm with lots of designs good for men.

A tip for you: even if he's got a single bed in halls for the first year, get him a double duvet because student houses in subsequent years all seem to have double beds.

CoffeeBeansGalore · 11/09/2022 22:07

Ebay. Brand called Dreamscene. Does check pattern 100% brushed cotton. Reversible grey/dark grey & red/cream red.I've bought several & they wash & tumble lovely.

CoffeeBeansGalore · 11/09/2022 22:10

Info attached. Double is £13.99

Yes ! And for lanky teens on those teeny hall beds a double duvet works very well.

Thanks. Unfortunately the habitat covers are 52% polyester. Shame, as they do have some good designs.

But, in any case, I've now managed to get what we need from Asda, 100% cotton with the added bonus of it being 30% Tencel cotton, which is good for eczema.
