Bloody hell it's lethal.

I'm over £100 just from buying bits costing me like £1 plus post! Some amazing stuff on there

I went on to confirm it's rubbish but have since realised it's a hidden gem - stuff is sold dirt cheap I feel guilty pressing Buy Blush

DC wanted some DM shoes. Now has some is really happy with for a fraction of the price new. I got a lovely top from Jigsaw for about £4 including postage.

Rebellingwithacause · 10/09/2022 00:50

I felt like that in the beginning, I’ve never bought anything for a pound but had some great items. Housebreaker, this week have managed to purchase a well known brand size 14 top that would fit a 10, a wrap dress (apparently worn once) that looked fab when I took it out of the packet but when I tried it on the front wrap was stretched to buggery and a pair of adult size 5 tap shoes that are a 3 at best.

The tap shoes were super annoying as they came today and I’m supposed to be starting lessons on Monday.

The two obviously incorrectly sized items would have been great for someone else. Grr grr grr

Rebellingwithacause · 10/09/2022 00:50

Housebreaker? *However!

Stripeystrip201 · 10/09/2022 06:11

It's brilliant isn't it, I've had some absolute bargains and made a nice bit of money on stuff that I'd usually give away.

My top tip is to always ask for a photo of the size label. I've had 3 incorrectly sized items now.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 10/09/2022 06:15

i have received two out of three items
very easy to get carry away.
two havent arrived, but tbh, i may have changed my mind about them now.

Eileen101 · 10/09/2022 06:21

LOVE vinted. I started to sell my kids outgrown stuff but now I can so easily get distracted - frugi/JoJo/Boden for my kids at a fraction of the price. Mountain warehouse/craghoppers/fat Face for me.
Plus so many great book for £1 plus postage, especially as charity shops round here seem bare on books these days.

Positivelypatient · 10/09/2022 06:24

You can get some good bargains on vinted but beware if there is a problem with the item you have to return it to seller at your own cost for the refund.

Unless they're a good seller and agree to cover the postage cost or tell you to keep the item ans refund it anyway. That's here looking at the sellers reviews helps.

My first purchase arrived yesterday and I'm a bit too happy with it - I think Vinted may become an addiction!

It's a slippery slope 😂

incognitodorrito · 10/09/2022 07:14

I sell on there and it’s super easy as there are no fees attached i sell everything at a lower price than I would have on eBay. However I also insist on sending via Royal Mail as I don’t have a printer.

duckme · 10/09/2022 07:29

Oh yes, I have tried vinted. I love it, my bank balance and husband do not! It's bloody dangerous!

JasmineIndigo · 10/09/2022 07:48

I've only sold on there and found it to be easy to use. Lots of quite cheeky offers though, but you can just ignore them. I haven't really browsed looking to buy though as the whole point for me is to use it to declutter, so I don't dare look for thing to buy!

wfrances · 10/09/2022 07:57

I'm not so happy with it
Out of 3 items purchased
Only one got posted
The other 2 didn't send , no communication or anything

latenightpartyrings · 10/09/2022 08:00

It's great for bargains, but horribly easy to buy something you don't need!

Really easy to sell on too, only bad experience was a parcel not tracking properly and then the buyer never marked it received so they got a refund and I got nothing.

I'm just spending all my money on White Company baby clothes Grin so can see the size labels in the pics usually lol

Oh yes me too Blush I bought loads a week ago, so every day now I have tiny little parcels arriving constantly and DH is wondering what on earth I'm up to!

I've already had about 5/6 people not send items! And I've bought about 100 things now as an estimate

Most of them didn't message either but I find Vinted really quick to refund! If they don't send it and tell Vinted it's refund sent, Vinted take your item away and refusing you

Yes, I love it! Especially for kids clothes. I sell on there too and now they have the inpost pock up points its even easier as you dont need a printer to sell and it's more convenient/cheaper to buy that way for me

doingitalllagain · 10/09/2022 09:19

I've bought a load of maternity clothes on there that arrived yesterday - 5 dresses, 2 jeans, 1 (faux) leather trousers, 4 tops, 2 jumpers and it cost me £50 for the lot! It's all in pretty good knick and will easily see me through pregnancy and I can probably stick a lot of it back on there after.

After buying it I chucked a load of stuff on and have made £45 in a few days so pretty much my money back, just need to actually package it all up and post it now. I bloody hate doing that Grin

I'm definitely going to use it after pregnancy too. I've been wanting to shop more sustainably for a long time, I never buy new clothes because I don't want to buy fast fashion but the alternatives are so expensive, I can never find much on eBay and the charity shops around me are a bit rubbish. It's been a brilliant find!

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 10/09/2022 09:21

I want to sell on there, but am clueless about how much to charge even though I’ve looked at other similar stuff on there.

Dirs it go as high a ebay?

Pure Wool Boden cost never worn. How much?
DD Ragged Priest jeans, worn twice, how much?
Liads of UO to sell, but how much?😭

piglet81 · 10/09/2022 09:24

I tried to sign up today but it said I’d entered my phone number incorrectly and now it’s not letting me try again for 24h! Anyone else had issues getting set up?

MrsLargeEmbodied · 10/09/2022 09:27

makes you wonder if the sellers just want the money, they dont send the goods, you get your refund.
they have a quick loan of money?

iloveyankeecandle · 10/09/2022 09:29

I like it but the postage seems high and the extra they add on.

The money sits in your balance as pending until the order is complete and you have to post through a label Vinted supply so they know when it's delivered. I've got £45 pending but won't get it until it's sorted. I imagine if someone gets refunded because it doesn't arrive it will be taken out their pending, so they'll never actually see the money.
