Bloody hell it's lethal.

I'm over £100 just from buying bits costing me like £1 plus post! Some amazing stuff on there

I went on to confirm it's rubbish but have since realised it's a hidden gem - stuff is sold dirt cheap I feel guilty pressing Buy Blush

LOVE Vinted but you only really make money if things are new, in a bundle or a brand. Like a George t shirt won't sell for £1 alone.

But I've made a lot of money on there

The not sending thing is bizarre - it happened to me too and was really annoying. What was odd was that I'd had a flurry of messages saying things like "I'll post on Tues" "I'm definitely posting tomorrow " etc and then nothing.

I use it all the time for my daughter, I sell and buy stuff. Got a few bargain pairs of clarks and bobux shoes in decent condition, baby/toddler stuff is usually always in pretty good nick because they're barely in them for any length of time.
Have been caught out a couple of times buying tap shoes that were listed as a 6 but were actually a 9 when they came but I just listed them and resold them instead of wasting money sending them back.

the money doesnt seem to be pending now

makes you wonder if the sellers just want the money, they dont send the goods, you get your refund.
they have a quick loan of money?

The money doesn't clear in the sellers account until the buyer has clicked to say they have received it and there are no issues, there's usually a day or so delay but it will be pending in the sellers account balance until the buyer marks it.

oh thank you @faithtrustandpixiedust

is it better to cancel if they are not tracking quickly?

Tracking can sometimes take a couple of days to update depending on who it's been sent with, evri are really slow to update ime. The seller only gets 5 working days to send something or Vinted will automatically cancel and refund you anyway so I'd probably wait and see, if it's been longer than that I'd contact Vinted

Can someone help please! I've just signed up, I want to sell some things on there but how does postage work? So if I have a bundle of clothes to sell but unsure of weight for postage how will they work it out if I guess the wrong weight.. if that makes sense 😆

Eileen101 · 14/09/2022 10:32

Stick it in a bag and weigh it. It's most likely a large if it's a bundle. However there is a custom shipping option you can use if it's heavier than the weight allowance for 'large'…

It's great for buying. I've had lots of lovely stuff for my girls and some of it so cheap likes how can anyone be bothered with the hassle to make such a little amount. Also had a couple not send the items which is frustrating especially as no communication at all and then after a week you get notification that you'll be refunded as they haven't sent it.

I tried to sell something on it just to test the water but it was on for weeks so I stuck with eBay where it sold for higher and quickly. I always do buy it now on eBay and no offers. Vinted always seems cheaper than the going rate compared to eBay. I only list on eBay when they offer me 80% off fees which they offer me usually once a month or more.

So for me it's buy from Vinted, sell your unwanted goods on eBay.
