Best dunky biscuits?

Myotherusernameisaferrari · 31/08/2022 16:00

Sitting here with my mid afternoon cup of tea and I'm sad as we have no biscuits to dunk. That got me on to thinking about the best dunky biscuits.

For me, has to be a ginger nut or a chocolate hobnob (ideally the aldi knock offs as the chocolate is a bit thicker).

Prove me wrong.

Tesco fruit shortcake (39p) Nice and buttery
Lotus biscoff

Ineedwinenow · 31/08/2022 16:25

Chocolate hob nobs or Ringtons do a Brazil nut biscuit and that is amazing to dunk 🤤

Bert2e · 31/08/2022 16:25

Got to be a ginger nut for dunking!

ShirleyJackson · 31/08/2022 16:29

Digestives. Keep it simple. Even better dunked in coffee.
Bourbons. A dunked bourbon is one of life’s great joys.
Gingernuts. Dunk and suck. You’re welcome.

backwhiteandredallover · 31/08/2022 16:34

Hobnobs or Oaties 😍

20viona · 31/08/2022 16:37

I agree the aldi chocolate oaties are up there. Also m and s do a chocolate round one with a hole in the middle and they are epic dunked.

Toddlerteaplease · 31/08/2022 16:39

Dunking biscuits is just wrong. Soggy biscuit and bits in your tea. Grim.Envy

Myotherusernameisaferrari · 31/08/2022 17:48

Think there is some experimenting to be done here!

I find there is an art form to drinking almost all but the last teaspoon full of tea cause there be crumblies...

All of the biscuits and all of the dunking.

Rich Tea is my favourite for early morning.
Something a bit more snazzy for later - shortbread, chocolate digestives, oaty, danish shortbread - royal dansk especially

Friends went to Belgium and brought us some speculoos which are the best things to dunk and do not go soggy. Sadly they have now all been eaten, having been dunked pleasingly and unsoggifyingly.

All that said, let’s not forget the humble bourbon and custard cream!

Hintofreality · 31/08/2022 17:58

M&S double chocolate cookies.

Roserunner · 31/08/2022 18:01

It has to be bourbons!

anotherpotoftea · 31/08/2022 18:19

Oh and Borders dark chocolate gingers!

@anotherpotoftea You can buy them from Aldi, Lidl and Costco at Christmas time.

icantworkout · 31/08/2022 18:23

I'm a big fan of the chocolate malted milk. I never buy them though as I could eat the whole packet in one go.

Milknosugarta · 31/08/2022 18:27

I like to dunk a penguin in my tea. 🐧

EXCELLENT biscuit intel, thank you

OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea · 31/08/2022 18:29

Dark chocolate digestive.

OR.

A kit kat or non nestle equivalent. Or a TimTam for the Aussies. Bite ends/2 corners off and use a a straw then shove it all in your gob before it disintegrates in your drink.

OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea · 31/08/2022 18:29

I now really want TimTams

HappyHappyHermit · 31/08/2022 18:30

Chocolate malted milks are the best when dunked.

Intellectualmalaise · 31/08/2022 18:30

M&S chocolate rounds, milk and white chocolate
