Best dunky biscuits?

Sitting here with my mid afternoon cup of tea and I'm sad as we have no biscuits to dunk. That got me on to thinking about the best dunky biscuits.

For me, has to be a ginger nut or a chocolate hobnob (ideally the aldi knock offs as the chocolate is a bit thicker).

Prove me wrong.

Ginger nuts
Digestives, plain and milk
But, the best are M&S Almond biscuits, sheer heaven.

Aldi do a posh range of biscuits. Theres a chocolatey hobnobbish one that's thicker than your average biscuit. Excellent for dunking.
Failing that I'm with you on the ginger nut.

Friends went to Belgium and brought us some speculoos which are the best things to dunk and do not go soggy. Sadly they have now all been eaten, having been dunked pleasingly and unsoggifyingly.

All that said, let’s not forget the humble bourbon and custard cream!

I think speculoos are best with coffee. Preferably white Americano

Are Jaffa Cakes dunkable? 🤔

Are Jaffa Cakes dunkable? 🤔

Everything is dunkable

Digestive
Hob nob
Ginger nut
Rich tea ( be careful they don't just disintegrate)

Milknosugarta · 31/08/2022 18:55

Some people dunk croissants, but I just don't get that.

BakewellGin1 · 31/08/2022 18:57

Ginger Nuts with Coffee
Custard Creams, Asda Choc Digestives or Hob Nobs with tea

Myotherusernameisaferrari · 31/08/2022 21:03

Aldi do a dark chocolate stem ginger cookie which is an excellent dunk.

@OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea I REALLY want to try the kit kat now! I think we have some in the biscuit tin.

Dunking croissants is a step too far.

LIDL half dipped chocolate chunk cookies. And I’m a bit of an expert in this I’ll have you know 😁

This is controversial.

Jammie dodgers

Mrsjayy · 31/08/2022 21:15

Oo Ginger nuts or any shops own oaty biscuits I prefer Morrisons, hobnobs don't dunk the same.

SillyBub · 31/08/2022 21:15

Tea is rank.

Biscuits should not be dunked in hot drinks.

IF there HAS to be an exception then a biscotti can be ever so briefly wafted in an espresso.

Thursa · 01/09/2022 03:09

I don’t like any chocolate biscuits dunked. So I’m going with a ginger nut, plain digestive or a rich tea.

Myotherusernameisaferrari · 01/09/2022 08:42

@SillyBub blasphemy!

Good choice.

No one in their right mind dunks chocolate biscuits.

CloudPop · 01/09/2022 11:57

Another vote for digestives and ginger nuts.
