I do think Sam Thompson is funny, maybe he can do Aftersun. Ekin Su probably up for it but she’s a bit wooden on insta I think.

Encouraged to resign I should imagine. She was awful and only on screen a few times.

AJ Odudu I think would be good at it.

So yesterday she got bad press for ridiculing a contestant and today she quits LI - when it just had its highest ratings…🔎

I really hope they don’t go with any of the women they are touting - Maya Jama is v shouty, Aj Odudu and Emily Atack I love but not for LI. Ekin Su nope, I would switch off. I find her very full of herself and quite annoying.

I suggested Sam Thompson ages ago and I think personally maybe a male presenter would be better. Hope they dispense with the awful “comedian” too. He’s dreadful and not remotely funny.

Some PPs have hitorically suggested Rob Beckett for the voiceover. He would be brilliant.

None of the women suggested are suitable IMO. Is one even needed? They only need to appear twice and aftersun is a load of dross.

I hope she's replaced by a professional TV presenter with experience. It is not an easy gig! Why on earth do people think ex LI contestants like Maura would be up to the job? It's kind of insulting to people who have spent years in the profession.

Maura has been doing a lot of tv work since she was in Love Island, especially presenting in Ireland, I think she’d be brilliant, you need someone single and young.
totally don’t agree with Maya or AJ or Ekin and agree that Sam or Rob would be better options.

@SequinsandStilettos dare I ask whether you watched the original LI with z list celebrities?! I remember the outrage when Lee Sharpe went off with Abi Titmuss leaving Jane Middlemiss broken hearted. 😬

Odd and I agree she was a bit shit on LI but she was completely brilliant on I’m a celeb spin off! And that was a much more taxing show. I think that role is just rubbish for anyone - bit like the show.

Not my cup of tea as a presenter. I think Rylan would be good.

I am that old, aye, piccolo and watched because of Brendan Cole who Jayne called Brenda at one point!

Will be Maya Jamma for sure!
