Just got a some wraps/tortillas on offer. Usually use them for fajitas or just chicken with salad. Would like to do something more interesting but mind is blank. Inspire me please!

Fish fingers, cheese, iceberg lettuce & tartare sauce.

Just fish fingers? Not 'gourmet' ones? 😉

N0va · 21/08/2022 18:53

My favourite is roast veg and feta! Usually aubergine, courgette and pepper. I add sundried tomatoes and olives too!

catinboots123 · 21/08/2022 18:54

Oooh it's our favourite meal.

Sometimes chicken korma, yoghurt and mango chutney

Spicy Mexican either chicken or mince, rice, lettuce, cheese and jalapeños

Breaded chicken, roasted peppers, salad and some garlic mayo.

Burritos with beef.

Cheese quesadillas.

Chicken and chorizo with chipotle mayo and roasted peppers.

dressupinyou · 21/08/2022 18:57

Falafel, houmous, salad leaves.

HighlandCowbag · 21/08/2022 18:57

Hallumi, nice salady bits and pesto spread on the wrap.

Also I buy one of those 4 types of mexican dips things, bit of all the dips, some grated cheese then scrambled eggs and then some really nice sweet chilli sauce, sounds weird but is a quick and easy meal if you serve it with salad and rice etc.

catinboots123 · 21/08/2022 19:01

Ooh yeah I forgot we sometimes do fish fingers, tartare sauce and lettuce.

This is a great thread. Wraps do everything!!!

ComeOnThenFanny · 21/08/2022 19:02

Pulled bbq chicken made in the slow cooker, with grated cheese 😋

Redshoeblueshoe · 21/08/2022 19:02

Fajitas
Crispy chicken

southlondoner02 · 21/08/2022 19:11

Quesadillas with mashed black beans, avocado, cheese and paprika

Have some at the moment that need using up and like the idea of tortilla chips. Do you just put them in the oven with a bit of oil?

UnicornMadeOfPinkGlitter · 21/08/2022 19:11

Ds2 always has burritos when we make chilli. Mixes chilli and rice together then adds guacamole. Salsa, soured cream and cheese. Wraps it burrito style then cut in half. my fave is grilled halloumi with falafel and sweet chilli sauce. Either some mixed leaves or spinach in.
i always make two and then can’t eat them as it’s so filling. Squish the falafel to make a patty much easier and they don’t fall out.

CanYouMakeMe · 21/08/2022 19:14

Lamb kebabs with feta salad.

lastminutedotcom22 · 21/08/2022 19:24

Lime and coriander chicken fillets with salad and some Mayo they're a new favourite

Also I make bolognaise, use the tortilla to wrap the mince in like canelloni, then pour the betchamal sauce over the wraps and top with grated cheese and red onion that's nice

ScurryfungeMaster · 21/08/2022 19:25

Dip them in whisked egg and fry them in a pan until golden brown on each side and then fill them with curry, savoury rice or roasted veggies. I also really like making crunch wraps with them.

A580Hojas · 21/08/2022 19:29

Falafels, salad leaves, red pepper strips, fried halloumi and tzatziki.

SquigglePigs · 21/08/2022 19:36

Spicy Mexican beef - it's pretty dry so also do fried off spicy onions and peppers, and some sour cream for moisture (I like a little rice too, DH not so bothered).

Fajitas but made with halloumi instead of chicken for a change.

Chilli and rice baked like a burrito.

Enchiladas.

Quesadillas.

Chilli "lasagna" - layer up chilli in a round dish using wraps like you would pasta for a lasagne and a good helping of cheese on top and bake.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 21/08/2022 19:40

Falafel, chicken goujons, any kind of pulled pork, carnitas, chili con carne that can facilitate enchiladas.

I feel like, as it's the school hols, I'm making quesadillas on a loop...

AtleastitsnotMonday · 21/08/2022 21:18

Wholemeal wrap warmed for 20 secs in microwave, spread with mango chutney, with raw spinach, finely sliced red onion, warm curried chickpeas and a little drizzle of raita.

DelilahBucket · 21/08/2022 21:46

Salmon fajitas
Chorizo, fried eggs, rocket, capers and mayo
Fish goujons, salad and sauce of choice
Chilli, a quick five bean chilli is good with soured cream
Enchilada pie (not putting things in wraps but made with wraps)
Tortilla soup (also not in wraps but made with wraps)

DelilahBucket · 21/08/2022 21:48

We've also made some amazing pork burritos on holiday with various ingredients (not been able to recreate since). Everything came from Aldi. I think we spiced up some pork fillet and also put in Mexican microwave rice, soured cream, guacamole, salad, jalapenos and garlic and chilli sauce. We wrapped them in foil to eat like you get from a takeaway.

countdowntonap · 21/08/2022 21:51

salad leaves, mango chutney and lime pickle. Will add either salmon or tinned tuna.

TopGolfer · 21/08/2022 21:52

onmywayamarillo · 21/08/2022 21:52

Isonthecase · 21/08/2022 22:08
