Good morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just making a cuppa to enjoy, in peace and quiet, before I get the girls up to go to town.

The washer's on & I've tidied round a bit so there's not much to do housework wise.

We're on the hunt for a-line school skirts, and school shoes, for dd1. We tried Asda the other day but they didn't have any of the bigger sizes on the racks 🤷‍♀️ I think we might have to order online though.

We'll pop into Primark too, more than likely, and nip to the fruit and veg stall on the market.

When we get in, the girls are likely to carry on watching Gilmore Girls & I'll either carry on disecting Cain's Jawbone or get out my crochet for an hour. I'm 1/4 of the way through a cardi for myself & dd2 has my next project lined up for me 🤣She wants me to make her a Taylor Swift cardigan like dd1's.

Not a clue what's for tea yet, maybe pasta 🤔 I'll have a glass of wine with whatever we have, and follow it with fruit and ice cream for afters 😋

I am meeting my best friend from primary school for coffee. Haven’t seen her for something like 20 years.

Just had breakfast and sent DH off to synagogue. DD and I will join him there in an hour or so. Then we'll go to the park afterwards with some friends, then chill at home for the rest of the day.

I’ve just finished an unusual book called ‘nightbitch’ so I’m sitting with a coffee and digesting that.

Plans for today include general shepherding of the kids around the house, following slimming world and going for a bit of a local walk around the parks!

I could do with finishing painting the fence but I can’t really be bothered, and ds (18mo) wants to join. DH is working 11-10 which is annoying as we have only one car, else I might have had a bob round town too!

My boys are going on holiday with their dad today and DP’s two are moving house with their mum so we have a child free weekend and no plans, naturally we’re both still in bed!

I’ll go down and make coffee soon and then I imagine the weekend will involve dog walks, gardening, sex and nice food and drink! Looking forward to it! 😁

Off to the hairdresser shortly. Then I'll give the kitchen and utility room a good clean. DCat1 is out rambling. DCat2 (a bit of a home bird) is snoozing on top of the armchair.

I want to House About today. Cook and house faff and listen to podcasts and chat to the DC about Lego.

Swimming lessons with older two DC soon, then off for a woodland walk / picnic. DP will make the rolls, cut up the fruit etc whilst we are swimming so we can head straight out as the walk takes a good few hours.

Later it will be PIzza Express pizzas / doughballs, salad and strawberries and cream for dessert (love it was P.E is on special offer)

Its a simple, relaxed, easy for me and relatively cheap day.

I'm halfway through washing load no.2 then meeting some friends to spend the day at a local food festival.

My 2DD's have gone on holiday with their Dad so had a nice lie in this morning. Got a few jobs around the house and also going to go to the gym as i haven't had chance over the school holidays.

Off to local Highland games shortly, hope weather stays decent for it!
Bit windy but not raining so I'll take that!
Dogs to be walked first then catch bus as trains on strike today and parking I'd impossible!

We've been up since 5, walked the dog, had leftover courgette fritters for breakfast, now we're watching Moana before I clean the flat and tidy up. Going to the allotment this afternoon.

Off to Devon for the day.

Decided to get Up. early and go for a walk along yeh sea front. Leave DH and the kids to fend for themselves during breakfast. Was lovely and I got almost 2 hours of non interrupted audiobook listening done.

DH is just doing some house work while I wait for dpd to send the tile slot text for a delivery I’m waiting on.

Hoping it won’t be an awkward time slot so we can take the kids to a fab play area near us but if it is we’ll just walk to the beach again close to home.

i think dinner will be pizza for the kids, chicken burger for DH and I’m planning a meat free burger with halloumi & roasted pineapple with some homemade slaw & wedges

Kids have just had breakfast while I make a list of everything we need for camping. They’re now playing on the X Box playing nicely for once. I’m playing tennis this afternoon, kids are off to a local farm with DP. Not sure what’s for tea yet. Think we promised the kids pizza but haven’t decided for DP and me yet - inspire me with what you’re having!

Morning @lucysmam, its 4am here, if you have a baby definitely take them to a different time zone, the lack of sleep makes it all the more enjoyable.

One game of rugby today, we’ve reached the semi final which has surprised us all as we haven’t had a good home season this year. This afternoon we’re going to Hogs Back Falls as a special trail is being put on for all the players travelling with children.

Tonight we have nothing but sleep planned as our daughter will wake up at her normal UK time, so hopefully we’ll also be tucked up nice and early.

Not long got up, dh got up with dc whilst I had a lie in. Just having morning cuppa.

No plans today, weather is rubbish and I'm very ready for autumn so will
Potter about the house, get cosy and have a film day with dc I think.

No dinner plans so more than likely a takeaway! X

Ive finished breakfast just having some tea. I've done a bit of cleaning in the kitchen. Off later to collect an online shop.
My daughter announced last night that she 'wants to go out', so that might mean a shopping trip or lunch out - she is working a lot for her A levels this summer and has just finished a short course for additional experience. She prefers going with me as she doesn't like to see friends outside school (we are relatively new to the area).
Dog walk of course, garden could do with a tidy up. Hose pipe ban starts Wednesday!

Been swimming to get by 1km done, now stood outside B&Q waiting for DH and DD to slowly peruse Smyths Toys then home to fit a new waste trap in the downstairs sink.

I'm in Gibraltar with a friend who lives there and just off to see the monkeys on the rock

DH and DS left to go to footy match at 8 and wont be back until tonight. Dd wont surface until afternoon. Got up to put a wash on then back to bed with coffee and toast. Plan to do some gardening but weather is foul so might just stay in bed

Lazy morning but need to make a move in a minute as DH has just reminded me. Have an afternoon tea booked in for this afternoon in a beautiful local old building

Why thank you @pumpkinpie01 - just decided on pesto eggs with soda bread for breakfast so we’re starting strong!

Been up since 5.30 as I had to drop my 20 year old ds off at the airport. After that I went for an early sea swim which was glorious, the water was so clear and calm.
Now pottering about the house about to make some cheese scones for everyone. DH is at football with DS2 and DS3 is still lounging around in his PJ's.
I think we might go for a bike ride later if it doesn't rain. Off out tonight with the DC and some friends.

@lucysmam please tell us some more about Cain's Jawbone, how are you getting on with it? It sounds fascinating!
