I should be loading the dishwasher ( oh the joys!) but DD13 is cooking her tea. DH is working til 8 then we’ll have battered fish, oven chips & peas. Chilling with a glass of wine. I need to fill the bunnies’ water bottles. It’s a lovely evening here. Soooo glad the high temperatures have gone for now. I really didn’t function well at all. Worked today & feeling sad because yet another of my colleagues is leaving tomorrow. We’ve lost loads of staff over the last few months. Many colleagues I count as friends too. Might catch up with Celebrity Masterchef in a bit. Really liking Danny Jones.

I'm having a glass of wine drowning my sorrows after an absolutely drastic week.

Will put little DD to sleep soon and the big one will watch a movie.

Then maybe same some celeb masterchef. Weather here is now nice but has been chucking buckets all day on and off. First week back at school done for us so all just feeling a bit knackered. Working tomorrow so will go easy on the wine even though I could happily bathe in it with a straw tonight

DD is watching a film, DS is gaming and DH is in a work zoom after telling uns about our gas DD (heating and hot water) from october onwards.
I watching a series to avoid worrying about an MRT I'll have on Monday.

I am sitting drinking tea and eating shortbread, I went back yo work this week after 4 weeks off and after going for a job and not getting it, but nevermind

Ds is playing in the garden I can hear his pretend play noises. I have just put some roasted veg and cauliflower cheese in the oven - dp is just putting some chicken in for him and dc as I don't eat it it. I was decorating cakes and am now mn. Cakes are setting in fridge for a do tomorrow.

It's my youngest turn for a sleepover at his grannies.. so it's a film night with our eldest!
She's chosen Harry Potter (for the 100th time 😭).
I've just finished making the back to school list for a dreaded day shopping tomorrow!

I've just painted my nails and am faffing about online for a bit while they dry, then I need to pack for our weekend away.

DH has just tidied the kitchen and gone up for a lie down, he's had a particularly full on week.

DC are on the Playstation.

It's very quiet for once!

I'm hoping DH gets up again at some point this evening so that once the DC are in bed we can share a bottle of wine and watch the bonus episodes of Sandman.

Waiting for our takeaway to be delivered after putting the roof box/ bike carrier on the car, putting the boot divider back in the car, assembling the new chicken run and putting the coop in it and having a small panic about the amount of packing to do before we go away tomorrow lunchtime

Me, my husband and my DS 16 have all been at respective work. Dd15 has been bumming around whilst we were out 😂. I made a super hot chilli con carne with Dips n chips which we ate alfresco. Me, DH and DD have retired to the lounge him a beer, Me a Prosecco and DD orange juice and we are watching a rather violent but entertaining film- bumming around DD is mature enough! DS is in his room gaming, bless him he has worked full time since he finished his GCSEs in June. We will remain dropped around the lounge furniture and TV until we feel bed is beckoning. I'm also listening out for the doorbell as have someone collecting an item from us that was on fB marketplace.

DS2 (12) is playing on the xbox, I always feel I should make him do something but he was up at 5am for swim training so I would feel bad inviting on him going on a walk/bike ride etc.

DS1 (15) has gone to his girlfriends house she is going on holiday with her family for a week so no doubt he will mope about next week.

DH and I are watching the athletics but if he keeps telling me what they are all doing wrong I might give up and go for a bath. It's not as if he even knows what he's talking about being the least sporty man you could meet.

It's DS2's birthday today, so we've just got home from bowling and the cinema. He and his brother are now fighting over his new chess set, DH has just broken the lid of the water butt watering the garden, and the bottle of wine is calling to me from the fridge!

Waiting for the kids (two sons 5 and 8) to stop faffing about and get into bed so DH and I can go downstairs and watch TV without being interrupted a million times.
Been at work today and now off until 30th Aug. Bliss

Trying to drag my caboose out to the horse, dog is currently nagging me for another walk I've just tried an episode of stranger things and I dunno if it's too scary for me 😂

Just finished scrubbing the BBQ grill after DP cooked for us and have plonked myself on the sofa, debating whether to have a glass of wine whilst DP is playing on his phone on the bed and DC are watching a film together upstairs.

Dc are reading in their room until lights out at 8. Me and the dog are snuggling on the sofa. I'll get my wine out of the freezer in a bit and finish watching the Woodstock 99 Train wreck documentary on Netflix. Absolutely shocking documentary and highly recommend it but only if you have a strong stomach 😢

I mowed the lawn earlier. Wine started at 7.30. Im watching old re-runs of room 101. My DD (12) has checked that I dont have her up to date Tik Tok on my phone and she's now upstairs being anti social like 12 year old girls are.

Been at work today, so out of house 7:30 to 18:30. Thankful to be home now!

We're in Scotland, so my two teen DS went back to school on Wednesday. DS1 (15yo)is so tired he cannot speak, have given him fish & chips and sent him to bed! DS2 has just gone up to have a game or two with friends online. I am about to take very patient puppy out and hoping to avoid the showers. DH is settling invoices from builders we had in this week, then hope sainsbury's will arrive while I'm out and he will put away.

School sports run at 07:30 tomorrow morning...

We just ordered a chip shop pizza for dinner. DD is in the other room watching something on YouTube. DS is outside with friends playing football. DH is finishing something for work.

I have tidied up after dinner and DH will put DD to bed soon. We’re all getting an early night as we are up early for DS football match tomorrow.

I'm sitting on the sofa when I should be sorting out the kitchen after dinner. Dh is getting Dd to bed. Then I think we'll open some wine and maybe watch a film. The cats are out so I need to get them to come in in a minute.

Just finished a lovely spaghetti bolognese with the sauce made with tomatoes from the garden, I've loads of them.

Just finished a word game online and about to watch 'This is MY house' then Celebrity Masterchef. I will enjoy relaxing because I've done 3+ hours of gardening today.

Then bed with a book. I live on my own and love it [most of the time].

Just finished dinner. DDs 1 and 3 and DD1’s friend are cleaning the kitchen (she’s a good friend!). DD2 on the sofa with covid. DH watching the news. I’m considering another glass of wine and might read my book a bit.

Sitting in a blissfully empty house with a glass of wine after a very busy week at work and an unexpected trip to the vet with my wee cat who got her foot trapped in a fence.

Cat is out her face due to sedation, dog is sleeping after a long walk with DS2, and DH and both DS have got out to get a couple of beers takeaway for dinner.

The DC are playing outside on the trampoline while I finally sit down and have 10 mins phone time before I get things together for Saturday clubs tomorrow. DH is pottering about tidying up and sorting the dishwasher.

It has been a looooong week at work with late nights most days and the DC have been back at school so it is tiring getting back into routines. Looking forward to the DC going to bed and getting to watch some TV.
