It’s bloody boiling again round me. No rain during the night.

We got about fifteen minutes of rain yesterday evening here in North Yorkshire, but that was it. Back to boiling sunshine today 😭

I really hope you get it soon OP! We had rain yesterday in Essex for the first time since June. It was amazing! Lovely and cool here today (at least comparatively) and more rain on the way by the feel of it.

Here. It's been lashing it down since Sunday evening and I can't get my sheets off the line without getting drenched by a massive sodden sheet. It hasn't stopped raining for long enough for them to dry even a little bit so that I could bring them in and rewash them. Neighbours must think I'm mad. (Also near Edinburgh.)

Nice soft sink into the ground type rain here in S. London. Been going on for a couple of hours or so now and it's the first time for weeks.

The novelty is somewhat wearing off now isn't it!! We've had to put the heating on in the office it's so cold.

I think the rains moved down south - raining at the moment in Essex and feeling pretty cool (in comparison).

A good friend is currently on holiday in Dorset and it's been tipping down this morning so not just confined to the north

It's a LIE.

Must be a different bit of the NW to me (Preston area). We've had a bit of rain yesterday and overnight/this morning - not a great quantity but it's dropped thr temperature nicely, about 21°C here now, cloudy so not heating up much, feels quite fresh.

It's not that often we have enviable weather!

Lashing it down here in Kent on an off for a couple of hours now. First rain we've had in several weeks. It's definitely cooler, but it's wonderful, I've finally stopped sweating. 😊

I've just looked on the met office rainfall radar and apparently I'm under a pink bit which seems to roughly translate as biblical rain...and not a solitary drop.
